Additional Information:

Although the original article did not provide specific details about the itinerary, it is important to note that participants should refer to any communication or instructions provided by the event organizers for a comprehensive schedule of events and activities.

Weather and Attire:

As mentioned previously, attendees should come prepared for all weather conditions. Given the limited shelter available, it is crucial to dress appropriately to stay warm and dry. Rain is a common occurrence at the event, so it is advisable to bring rain gear and extra layers of clothing. In the case of hot weather, it is essential to bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses to protect against the sun’s rays. Binoculars and cameras can enhance the overall experience, allowing attendees to get a closer look at the rowing action. Additionally, it is worth noting that the event does not provide seating at the tent, so bringing a lawn chair or a blanket is recommended for comfortable seating.

Food and Water:

As there is no potable water available on site, it is crucial to bring an ample supply of water to stay hydrated throughout the event. While snacks and lunch will be provided for athletes and coaches, spectators have the option of either bringing their own food or heading into nearby Middletown to grab lunch. It is advisable to plan accordingly and ensure access to sufficient food and beverages during the event.

Volunteer Opportunities:

In order to ensure the smooth running of the event, volunteers are needed to help staff the tent and assist with various tasks. These tasks may include rotating in new snacks, setting out sandwiches during the break between practice and the rowing regatta, and providing general support. Interested individuals are encouraged to sign up in advance and contribute to the success of the St. Andrew’s Invitational.

Environmental Responsibility:

All participants are kindly requested to help keep Noxontown Pond clean. To facilitate proper waste management, dumpsters are available on site. It is important to dispose of all trash in the designated dumpsters or take it with you when leaving. By adhering to these guidelines, attendees can contribute to the preservation and cleanliness of the event venue.
