In the world, Copa America is the third most-watched international soccer tournament and the oldest still-running continental event of the next edition.
The 48th edition of the Copa America 2024, the international men’s soccer championship of America, will be postponed due to the start of the other big tournament on 20th June, with the final to be played on 14th July in the US.

The United States has also been given the chance to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup, alongside Mexico and Canada hosting. Additionally, CONCACAF will host the America Copa in 2024.
Argentina successfully defends their title by defeating Brazil 1-0 in the final of the 47th edition of the Copa America. Brazil emerges as the champion of the Copa America 2019 by securing a 3-1 victory against Peru in the final at Maracana, marking their 9th triumph.
Bolivia and Peru are reported to be possible choices for the 2024 Copa America, while Conmebol and UEFA have reached an agreement for it to be held in 2024 under the name America Copa 2024, which will be the next edition of Copa America.
In 2024, Lionel Messi will also attempt to win the Copa America trophy. This comes after Argentina was crowned the defending champion in 2021 by defeating Brazil.
Who will host the 2024 COPA America
The 2023-24 CONCACAF Nations League will showcase 6 CONCACAF national teams and Argentina, the reigning champions of Copa America and the World Cup. Alejandro Dominguez, president of CONMEBOL, expressed optimism that the United States, the host of Copa America, will successfully host the upcoming tournament.
Lately, there have been reports that CONCACAF has given the United States the chance to host the 2024 COPA America.
The competition will be organized by the United States, showcasing six CONCACAF visiting squads who have earned their place through the 2023-24 CONCACAF Nations League.
The 2024 Copa América was originally planned for 2023, but it was rescheduled to 2024 to coincide with UEFA Euro 2024.
How many teams are there in 2024 COPA America
The competition will be held with groups of six teams each, with teams from CONMEBOL outside the groups and teams from CONCACAF being welcomed as guests.
The previous Copa América, which took place in the United States from June 3-26, 2016, also featured 16 participating teams.
In the 2024 COPA America, despite being the tournament’s host, the United States is not permitted to qualify automatically.

The official emblem for the 2024 Copa America tournament is a result of a “strategic collaboration agreement” between Concacaf and Conmebol.
“The red, white, and blue stripes and stars from the nation’s flag serve as the background, shaped like a trophy ball, representing the US imagery and colors in the Copa America trophy.”
Venues
Following the swift organization of the Copa Libertadores final, Peru has also conveyed its interest in hosting the event, leaving a highly positive impression. They utilized 5 stadiums during the previous tournament (Copa America 2021).
The US has begun renovating stadiums for the Copa America 2024 tournament, however, it remains to be seen which stadium will be chosen to host the event.

The prices for the opening match are $110, $72, $55, $35, and NA for Class 5, Class 4, Class 3, Class 2, and Class 1, respectively. The prices for the group matches are $65, $47, $33, $22, and $11. For the quarter-finals, the prices are $75, $52, $40, $25, and $16. The semi-finals have prices of $110, $72, $54, $35, and $18. The third-place match has prices of $65, $46, $33, $22, and $11. Lastly, the final match has prices of $165, $109, $75, $260, and NA.
