Colleen Hoover has addressed the allegations on Facebook.
On November 18, 2022, Hoover shared a statement discussing the accusations in a closed Facebook group named Colleen Hoover’s CoHorts.
“She clarified in the statement that the statements made about her son are not true. However, she strongly denies this allegation, emphasizing that it did not occur and that it was not the original claim made by the person in question.”

“I contacted her immediately upon discovering this information several months ago. Subsequently, she made a post on Twitter stating that my son had requested a photograph from her. Understandably, she was upset that I did not acknowledge her post, although I had not actually read the message. However, she believed that I had indeed read it. Consequently, she messaged me regarding the matter, as my son had said something to her in a message that made her feel uneasy (he had asked her to send him a photograph). It is worth noting that my son and the girl had never met in person, as they were online acquaintances for a few months,” she added.
Colleen added that they engaged in a conversation about the incident, where they expressed remorse and gratitude towards the person who brought it to their notice. Additionally, they extended an offer to provide their home address and lawyer information if the other party desired it. Colleen took responsibility for their son’s inappropriate message and dealt with the matter directly by discussing it with both the person involved and their son.
