A misdemeanor battery arrest warrant was issued for Brooke Jenkins, the homeless individual who sprayed down the owner of the Gwin Collier gallery in San Francisco. The arrest took place on Wednesday, earlier this month, by the District Attorney’s office.
Jenkins stated on Twitter, “The supposed assault of a homeless member of our community is entirely unacceptable…”.
Alex Sakiyama, a resident of the vicinity, expressed, “Engaging in the act of spraying water towards someone is unacceptable. Regardless of the level of annoyance one may experience in a particular circumstance, I firmly believe that such behavior is inappropriate. I found it to be truly unsettling.”
Sakiyama is acquainted with the individual who was sprayed, frequently hearing her shriek during the nighttime.

Collier Gwin is set to face charges of misdemeanor assault on January 9, 2022, for supposedly deliberately and unlawfully dousing a woman experiencing homelessness with water in the vicinity. After thoroughly examining all the evidence and considering the San Francisco Police Department’s investigation, my office has authorized the issuance of an arrest warrant for Gwin.
Mr. Gwin will face appropriate consequences for his completely unacceptable actions. Vandalism at the Gwin Foster gallery is also completely unacceptable – it is important to rectify both wrongs and not repeat them. Additionally, the alleged battery of an unhoused member of our community is not acceptable.
