Star Wars Outlaws: Everything we know so far

The world of Star Wars will be open for the first time ever in Outlaws, but this time around there won’t be any Jedi or Force wielding light sabers to play with. Instead, we’ll be playing as self-proclaimed bandits in the Outer Rim, unlike the others. But there’s plenty to be excited about already for one of the upcoming Star Wars games. We’ve seen what Ubisoft has in store for us in 2023, and it finally has a name: Outlaws Star Wars.

That might be quite away, but while you wait to keep reading and find out everything we know about Ubisoft’s Star Wars game, know that this is the original story set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, due to arrive in 2024.

  • Star Wars Outlaws Kay Vess drew inspiration from Han Solo but is “slightly more relatable”.
  • Star Wars Outlaws will allow you to deceive Jabba the Hutt, if you’re feeling daring.
  • The open world of Star Wars Outlaws is created to provide “complete freedom of strategy”.
  • The creators of Star Wars Outlaws chose not to include the feature of unrestricted aerial exploration above the planets in the game.

We’ve had our first look at Outlaws of the Outer Rim, a Space adventure building game by Massive Entertainment that seems to be a Rockstar-style experience. It appears that you’ll be playing as Vess Kay, tooling around the criminal underbelly of the Outer Rim, doing whatever it takes to survive – including making dirty deals with Syndicates and double-crossing a few friends along the way.

If you find yourself on the wrong side of the ruling party, you will be able to hop into the Trailblazer spaceship and reach hyperspace. Within each planet, there will be different cities and towns to explore. You will also have the opportunity to hop on a speeder and whip around planets, equipped with a blaster in hand for all-action or the chance to go through missions stealthily. Ubisoft said that when they built the open world game Star Wars, it wasn’t kidding – it was a massive world with more areas contained for Outlaws to thread through.

Essentially, Star Wars Outlaws is a game where you can navigate a vast system of planets and engage in dogfights, allowing you to pilot your own ship and experience complete freedom. Your actions in the open world areas and your decisions during missions will influence how the game unfolds. Although we don’t have all the details on how this works in practice, Star Wars Outlaws boasts a comprehensive system with desired features and a full reputation.

In the initial preview, you can get a peek of Toshara – a fresh site within the Star Wars galaxy, where Star Wars Outlaws will occur (at least to some extent). Limited information is available about the backdrop itself, but the game unfolds between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi in the Star Wars chronology. Star Wars Outlaws stands as the inaugural open-world Star Wars game.

Finished. Here is the reversed edition: Although I know my Star Wars, it’s easier said than done to start a new life, so Kay hopes to gain from the heist by using elements from her past and trying to outsmart the Syndicates and reach the Empire’s grasp while attempting to pull off one of the biggest heists in the Outer Rim. The core storyline you will see introduces Kay, a scoundrel trying to survive in the galactic underworld, in Outlaws Star Wars.

Vess Kay is a new character in the Star Wars universe. She is attempting to survive as a scoundrel in the criminal underworld against the ongoing war between the Rebel Alliance and the Empire. Although she may have bigger things to worry about, we know that Kay will be looking to pull off the biggest heist ever seen in the Outer Rim. It is clear from the trailer debut that Kay has a bounty on her head and we can see members of the Pyke Syndicate and Hutts here, but it is exactly unclear who is after her.

Kay Vess and Nix, the main protagonists, are accompanied by the two confirmed members of the Star Wars Outlaws cast. Humberly González, renowned for her performances in Killer High, In the Dark, Utopia Falls, and Ginny & Georgia, brilliantly portrays Kay. Dee Bradley Baker, a voice actor well-known for his work in Star Wars: The Bad Batch and Star Wars: The Clone Wars, brings to life Nix, Kay’s faithful sidekick.

Ubisoft has tentatively set the release date of Outlaws Wars Star for 2024. We know that Outlaws Wars Star will be released for X Series, PC, and PS5. Although no further announcements have been made regarding the release window for Outlaws, we ultimately expect it to come to Game Pass.

Julian Gerighty, the Creative Director, announces that Ubisoft is working on a couple of upcoming games, including Pandora’s Frontiers: Avatar and The Division 2 and The Division. The studio responsible for developing Outlaws of the Star Wars game is Massive Entertainment.

Vess Kay is the star of the written, and it is a ripe time to make their name as a new outlaw. The criminal underworld opens up opportunities for people looking to take advantage of the turmoil, but these outlaws still live life under the thumb of the Galactic Empire. When we first imagined the open-world Star Wars game, we quickly realized that we had all the right ingredients for a journey of a scoundrel, and we could place it in the game when and where we explored it first.
