Golfers who have won the US Open multiple times in history

There have been 22 occasions in the history of the US Open where golfers have emerged victorious. However, only six players have managed to win it more than twice. Jack Nicklaus and Ben Hogan have won the tournament four times, while Bobby Jones, Willie Anderson, Hale Irwin, and Tiger Woods have each won it three times.

Has there ever been a consecutive US Open champion?

After also emerging victorious in 1901, Anderson’s achievement may be the most remarkable, securing three consecutive victories from 1903-05. The other golfers who achieved this feat were Curtis Strange (1988-89), Ben Hogan (1950-51), Ralph Guldahl (1937-38), Bobby Jones (1929-30), John McDermott (1911-12), and Willie Anderson. The most recent occurrence took place in 2017 and 2018, when Brooks Koepka won consecutively at Erin Hills and Shinnecock Hills, respectively. There have been a total of seven instances where a golfer has won back-to-back US Open titles.
