On a bicycle

The rates, parking availability, and fees can impact events at Soldier Field and Huntington Bank Pavilion on Northerly Island. The closest options to the Field Museum are the Soldier Field North Garage and the East Museum Lot (located on the east side of the Field Museum). Rates and hours are subject to change without notice. All options are owned by the Chicago Park District and managed by an external concessionaire. There are plenty of parking options on the Museum Campus.

The East Museum Lot provides parking spaces for individuals using wheelchairs on a first-come, first-served basis. If the East Museum Lot is at maximum capacity, the eastern section of the Soldier Field North Garage offers more convenient entry to the eastern entrance, which grants special access to the museum. Elevators are available at both entrances of the Soldier Field Garage.

By public transportation

To reload your Ventra card, you can also use the Ventra app to continue using the CTA trains and buses. Visit the CTA website for other information about CTA and Ventra transportation cards, updated schedules, transportation information, and maps.

On the CTA train

Roosevelt is the closest CTA train station to the Field Museum. The station provides links to the crimson, tangerine, and emerald lines, along with bus number 146 (at State St. And Roosevelt Road), which transports passengers directly to the Museum Campus.

On the CTA bus

Two bus lines arrive at the Museum Campus.
