In this article, let’s explore 10 human traits they possessed.
Let’s go!

Who is the most good-looking man you’ve witnessed? What about the most gorgeous woman?
What leads you to regard them in that way? Attractive eyes? Blushing cheeks? Well-formed nose? Light complexion?
Now, what about Adam and Eve, our initial progenitors?
Without a doubt, Adam and Eve appeared attractive. Recognizing that God Himself possesses flawless beauty, the Bible states that God formed them in His own image (Genesis 1:27) (Psalm 50:1-2, NIV). Indeed.
“Their Creator” in appearance, they had outward resemblance in their bearing, with faces that radiated hope, joy, and a healthy glow, truly enough.
How about their physical characteristics?
8) They Originally Knew No Evil

Did you know that Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of Eden, and they felt no shame in being naked? That’s right.
How come?
The Commentary Bible of the Seventh-day Adventist, written by Francis Nichol, contains 227 pages and is a single volume. In this book, the author discusses the story of Adam and Eve, highlighting that the Creator provided them with robes of light and they did not require any material clothing.
Francis Nichol added that this “garment of purity” was symbolic of God’s own virtuous nature, which was mirrored flawlessly in them.
Their character was flawless and faultless, and their thoughts were pure and innocent. Eve and Adam were completely unaware of any evil around them, as we can see here (Ellen White, Beginning of the End 14.6).
3) They Had a Healthy Red Complexion

Adam and Eve were created from the soil of the earth (Genesis 2:7).
And given that the soil typically has a brown hue, does this imply that they also had a brown complexion?
Ellen’s complexion was well-balanced, with a rich, glowing, and ruddy tint, neither sallow nor pale.
They were also glowing with the “joy” of light, not only relating to Earth and Geology Sciences, but also to Ellen White’s statements.
Can you envision the appearance of Adam and Eve, considering this?
Let’s Review!
As we have learned, Adam and Eve both possessed these ten human characteristics:.
- Good looks.
- Flawless physical attributes.
- Reddish complexion.
- The abdomen likely lacks a belly button.
- Knowledge and intellect.
- Ability to govern the planet.
- Nature is subordinate to God.
- Sinlessness.
- Obedience.
- The ability to choose.
10) They Had Freedom of Choice

As we have learned from the previous sections, Adam and Eve were flawless and without sin (Genesis 1:27; 2:25).
However, this does not imply that they were incapable of committing sins.
Well,.
“God could have created them without the power to sin. He could have prevented them from touching the forbidden fruit, but then Adam and Eve would have been mere robots.”
Ellen White, Beginning of the End 14.5
Without their freedom of choice, it would have happened that if God’s sustained charge of Satan’s arbitrary rule had been added, and He had created intelligent beings, it would have been contrary to God’s unworthy and plan.
They could choose sin anytime they wanted. Eve and Adam were created with the freedom to choose between evil and good, based on this perfect state.
She indeed yielded, carrying on the previous conversation regarding Eve’s succumbing to the serpent’s persuasion to consume the prohibited fruit, as stated in Genesis 3:6.
The serpent, convinced that if you were to eat from it, your eyes would be opened and you would know good and evil, said to Eve, “You will certainly not die.”
In verses 6-7 of the NIV, it is revealed that Adam and Eve became aware of their nakedness and opened their eyes. They both ate the fruit, and even Adam, who also ate it, gave some to Eve.
And this signified the decline of mankind.
(Genesis 3:14-19; Romans 5:12) All of humanity was contaminated by sin, which corrupted their once flawless nature, as a result of their misuse of freedom. You can perceive that Eve and Adam were originally fashioned flawlessly.
5) They Were Wise and Intelligent

If they possessed high intellectual abilities, does it imply that they were made in the likeness of God (Genesis 1:27), who is inherently wise and intelligent (Daniel 2:20), while having knowledge about Adam and Eve?
Indeed, they were.
“The Lord blessed Adam and Eve with intelligence such as He had not given to any other creature.”
Ellen White, Confrontation 10.4 and From the Heart 140.3
With this, God gave dominion over the earth to humans, commanding them to rule over all the creatures that move along the ground, the wild animals all over the land, the livestock over the sky, the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea. (Genesis 1:26-28, NIV; Ellen White, Confrontation 10.4)
9) They Were Naturally Obedient

As they were formed in the image of a flawless God (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 50:2), Adam and Eve were without sin.
As innocent creatures, they had been “completely content in compliance with God’s commandments” (Ellen White, Darkness Before Dawn 13.1).
It onto held they, (Genesis 2:16-17) evil and good of knowledge the tree the from eat to not them told God when.
In the third chapter of the book of Genesis, it is stated that you must not touch or eat from the tree in the middle of the garden. However, Eve insisted that we are allowed to eat the fruit from the other trees in the garden. This temptation came from the serpent.
However, this obedience was only valid up to a specific limit.
Why? Keep reading.
4) They Probably Had No Navels

Are you aware of what a belly button is?
(Nemours Children’s Health) The cord that transports minerals and vitamins to nourish her body is a flexible and soft tube. During your time in your mother’s womb, the umbilical cord was attached to your mother’s placenta, and the spot where it was attached is also known as the belly button or navel.
Based on this, all individuals created through regular gestation were born with belly buttons.
What about Adam and Eve? They didn’t appear to have been birthed by a female, correct?
It is true that humans, who were the first to ever live on Earth, make sense of the fact that God created them without having a mother, Eve and Adam. Isn’t that right?
33.2 Spiritual gifts were given to Ellen White by God’s hands. However, He did not carry them inside His body. Instead, He knew that God had “created” them.
Adam was created from the components of the earth, being granted the gift of life. Conversely, Eve was fashioned from his rib, enveloped in flesh (Genesis 2:7, 21-23).
None of them had a belly button. Therefore, similar to all of us, they appeared to have never experienced pregnancy, as it is evident.
Do you believe that to be the case?
2) They Had Perfect Bodies

How would you characterize an ideal physique? Balanced? Symmetrical? Average in stature?
Do you believe Adam and Eve possessed these characteristics?
As individuals created to be “the image and glory of God” (1 Corinthians 11:7, NIV), Adam and Eve had perfect physical features.
Adam and Eve had symmetrical and regular bodies, with graceful and beautiful shoulders. They were described as “reaching little above Eve” and “possessing a noble height.”
What an amazing work of art! Isn’t the Almighty a splendid Creator?
7) They Were Made a Little Lower Than the Angels

“In the NIV version of Hebrews 2:7, it is mentioned that Eve and Adam were created as beings lower than angels. However, they were also blessed with spiritual and intellectual abilities, making them endowed creatures.”
What is the significance of this?
“Than God” refers to being slightly below the angels and is equivalent to “than the angels.” This expression, “than the angels,” is derived from the Hebrew term me’elohim, as stated by Francis Nichol in The Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary, volume 3, page 649.
This means that Eve and Adam were made by God at a much higher level of kinship with the animal kingdom than a little lower.
Nichol clarified, “finite man is far inferior to the infinite God,” because this doesn’t mean that they were almost equal with Him.
6) They Could Be Entrusted With Responsibilities

Considering the divine power granted to Adam and Eve by God over the earth (Genesis 1:26-28), it becomes apparent that they were trustworthy individuals.
Adam bestowed names upon all the untamed creatures, the avian beings soaring through the heavens, and every domesticated creature. It is indeed true that God presented the animals to Adam for the purpose of naming them. As stated in verse 20 of chapter 2, “Thus, the man assigned names to all the domesticated animals, the avian beings in the sky, and the untamed creatures.”
Only Adam? What about Eve?
Well,. she wasn’t yet created during this time. But then, God realized Adam needed a “suitable helper” (verses 18 and 20, NIV).
For that purpose, He created Eve (verses 21-23), which implies her helping Adam with all his tasks in the Garden of Eden.
Adam and Eve were assigned the duty of representing God and caring for the earth, preceding all other creatures in the world.
The section entitled “God’s Image in Man” added by Raoul Dederen in the same handbook is one of the manifestations of the idea that human beings are an image of God — this function of “being man” represents God’s representative over the lower creation.
