The President of ACB graduated with a bachelor’s degree with three majors in business administration, finance and international business in 2000, graduated with a master’s degree in business administration in 2002 from Chapman University, USA. In 2011, he received a doctorate in business administration from Golden Gate University, USA.

He has held the position of Chairman of ACB since September 2012 when he was 34 years old, when ACB had the event of election of Kien and was also the most difficult period of the bank. Up to this point, Mr. Huy is the youngest person in the history of Vietnam’s banking industry.

Duong Nhat Nguyen – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietbank

Another F2 generation businessman who is also holding the position of Chairman of the Bank’s Board of Directors is Mr. Duong Nhat Nguyen (born in 1983).

Mr. Nguyen holds a bachelor’s degree from Greenwich University (UK) and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Devry University (USA).

Mr. Nguyen joined Vietbank’s Executive Board from January 2013 as Deputy General Director. From 2013 until now, he has held many other major positions at Vietbank such as: Deputy General Director cum Member of the Board of Directors, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors cum Deputy General Director, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the 2016-2020 term. In April 2021, Mr. Nguyen was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietbank.

Mr. Nguyen was also born into a traditional banking family. Mr. Nguyen is the son of former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietbank Duong Ngoc Hoa and Ms. Tran Thi Lam – Chairman of Hoa Lam Group.

Do Quang Vinh – Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of SHB


Mr. Do Quang Vinh (born in 1989) is the eldest son of Mr. Do Quang Hien (elect Hien) – who laid the foundation for SHB’s construction and is currently the bank’s chairman.

Vinh studied banking and finance at Middlesex University (UK). He had many years working in enterprises and banks abroad before returning to Vietnam in 2019.

In 2021, Mr. Vinh became the youngest Deputy General Director of SHB. Hien’s elected son also holds the important position of Head of Digital Banking, with the expectation of creating a breakthrough for SHB in the 4.0 technology era.

In 2022, Mr. Vinh was elected to the Board of Directors and last April 2023 was elected as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.

A major highlight in Mr. Vinh’s career is his leadership role at SHB Finance – a subsidiary of SHB operating in the field of consumer finance. In 2021, SHB attracted attention in the financial market when it signed agreements to transfer 100% of its charter capital at SHB Finance to Ayudhya Public Bank Limited (Krungsri). The value of the deal revealed by Krungsri is up to nearly 156 million USD, equivalent to about 3,600 billion VND.

Despite holding a high position at the bank, Do Quang Vinh does not own as many SHB shares as his younger brother Do Vinh Quang. At SHB, Mr. Do Quang Hien directly holds 78 million shares. Mr. Do Quang Vinh directly holds only 736,000 shares (0.024%). Mr. Do Vinh Quang currently holds more than 84 million SHB shares. In general, Hien and his two sons own shares worth about 2,000 billion VND.

Le Thu Thuy – Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of SeABank

Referring to the daughter of the banking giants, it is impossible not to mention Ms. Le Thu Thuy (born in 1983) – the daughter of businessman Nguyen Thi Nga (Chairman of the Board of Directors of BRG Group and Standing Vice President of Dong Nai Commercial Joint Stock Bank). Nam A Bank (SeABank) Ms. Thuy is currently the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of SeABank.

Ms. Thuy graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Banking and Finance from George Mason University (USA). Before returning to Vietnam, she worked at a foreign bank and married an American husband.

Ms. Thuy once shared that at first, returning to work at SeABank was “purely because my family wanted it”. But here, after many experiences, she discovered her desire.

In 2009, Ms. Thuy was only 26 years old when she held the position of Standing Member of the Board of Directors of SeABank. In 2011, Ms. Thuy took the position of General Director of SeABank, then left this position in 2013. After that, Ms. Thuy took the position of Deputy General Director of SeABank. In 2018, Ms. Thuy returned to the position of General Director of SeABank.

In July 2022, Le Thu Thuy resigned from the position of General Director after a 5-year term and continued to participate in banking administration as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Regarding assets on the stock exchange, Ms. Thuy currently owns more than 48 million SSB shares of SeABank, with an estimated value of more than 1,500 billion dong.

Trinh Thi Mai Anh – Member of the Board of Directors of OCB

Ms. Trinh Thi Mai Anh (SN 1992) – a member of the Board of Directors of OCB is the daughter of Mr. Trinh Van Tuan – Chairman of the Board of Directors of OCB. Ms. Mai Anh is the only female member of the Board of Directors of OCB, also the only 9x to join the Board of Directors of a Vietnamese bank today.

Ms. Mai Anh graduated with a Bachelor of Science – London School of Economics and Political Science (United Kingdom).
She has many years of experience working at HSBC London Bank, Vietnam International Securities Joint Stock Company, VinaCapital Group, Temasek Singapore Group. In June 2020, Ms. Mai Anh was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of OCB for the 2020-2025 term.

Currently, Ms. Mai Anh owns more than 40 million OCB shares, equivalent to 2.94% ownership. These shares have an estimated value of more than 750 billion dong.
