5 things Donald Trump said in his interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity

Donald Trump, the former President, made his first appearance on Fox News on Monday night. In recent weeks, he has been in talks with the cable network about announcing his bid for president in 2024. Trump spoke to host Sean Hannity and discussed his relationship with Ron DeSantis, the Governor of Florida, and how he would solve the conflict between Russia and Ukraine if he were president. During their conversation at Mar-A-Lago, Trump also mentioned classified documents.

According to Semafor, Fox News reportedly wants to put a “soft ban” on Trump because Murdoch has new feelings about Trump and wants to move to the Republican Party.

Trump inquired, in reference to Dinesh D’Souza’s film denying the election, “In what manner does Rupert Murdoch assert that there was no electoral deception when 2000 Mules reveals, on official recordings, the existence of numerous ‘manipulated votes’?” Trump has expressed his dissatisfaction with Murdoch on the Truth Social platform, specifically regarding Fox News’ reporting on his allegations of election fraud.

Here are five statements Trump shared with Hannity during the interview, which was broadcasted on Monday evening.

  • Hillary Clinton would be “the biggest problem” for handling of classified records, said Hannity and Trump and also criticized President Joe Biden.
  • Trump exclaimed, “Biden has acquired a splendid Corvette and is currently at the University of Pennsylvania. He has also obtained boxes in Chinatown and claims to have received payments from China,” Joe Biden, on the other hand, got 1,850 boxes in Delaware.

“No one discusses that,” Trump stated. “The things he did are extremely reprehensible.”

He allegedly gained more supporters due to the raid, asserting that it constituted election interference, and subsequently claimed that the raid was unnecessary and advocated for the documents to be securely stored. The FBI informed him of this, as he stated.

  • He informed Hannity, in response to being asked if he had examined any of the containers, “Bear in mind this crucial fact. This legislation is known as the Presidential Records Act. I possess the entitlement to acquire possessions.”
  • “I will acquire that tape,” expressed Hannity, before interrupting him and stating, “If feasible,” they have requested me and I have thus far complied with it,” Trump uttered before insinuating about the tape of the raid itself that the FBI purportedly does not desire to disclose. “I was not concealing anything,” he stated, before Trump declared that he has provided the FBI with everything, including recordings they did not request.

Trump characterized the raid as “awful,” adding that “the manner in which they’ve treated individuals is awful.”

  • Hannity asked whether Republicans should “embrace the tactics of Democrats” in encouraging mail-in voting and ballot harvesting, in response to Trump’s claim that mail-in ballots are automatically corrupt. If you have mail-in ballots, you have a very dishonest election. Former president of France cited it as an example of a place where mail-in ballots were replaced with paper ballots, and everyone was happy and it was announced that it was in the evening at 10 o’clock.
  • Trump countered by stating that Republicans were compelled to comply, asserting that these were strategies that Democrats are presently employing, Hannity paraphrased the inquiry.

  • Trump said, “He was not like Jim Jordan.” I would defend and go on television to let people know that he was one of over 150 individuals. Well, Trump said that he didn’t know him and that they were not two friends. Trump spent time digging into his relationship with DeSantis, while spending time with Hannity.
  • During the interview, Trump claimed that he is responsible for DeSantis’ political triumph, mentioning that GOP rival Adam Putnam was leading DeSantis by a significant margin of 30 points. Trump recalled Ron approaching him with tears in his eyes, requesting an endorsement. Trump responded, saying that Ron was so far behind that even with the combined endorsements of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, he doubted Ron’s chances of winning.

Trump said that DeSantis would be “working in a pizza parlor place or a law office” if he hadn’t received Trump’s endorsement.

  • Trump stated that he would resolve the Ukraine crisis in a day by meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Ukrainian counterpart, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to discuss the possibility of a nuclear conflict, “which would make the First World War and Second World War seem insignificant.”
  • I never want to work. I can’t use negotiation then because I don’t want to tell you what it is. He said during the interview, “There’s a very easy negotiation to take place.”

Trump said, “I can’t imagine something that is happening with the key to stop the war. It’s been a long time — now, half a year and a half.”
