What is the Playoff Pass on The Voice?
In order to take a step closer to showing their live performance, they can automatically advance to the Playoffs and skip the Knockout Rounds by winning the “Pass Playoff” and gaining a significant advantage. How do Knockouts work on The Voice?

How do Blocks work on The Voice?
The addition of a new artist by a coach prevents them from adding to their team, as each coach has three extra chairs with buttons that are set with the names of the other three coaches. Additionally, this season is also returning the block, which adds another layer to the competition during blind auditions.
The coach will block another audition if the press does not turn off their lights. Even though their chair is still turned towards the blocked lane, the coach will only discover that they are blocked if they press their button. Only the coaches can use their block buttons for the entire first round on one artist.
How do Battles work on The Voice?
During the Battle Rounds, the Coaches will pit their own team members against each other, singing the same song together. The Artists are vying for the Coach’s decision and confidence, in order to be taken to the next round.
After each Vocal Battles, the Coach must choose the Artists of his or her team who will advance to the next round of competition. In this season, there are no Advisors for the Battle. Instead, Reba McEntire will serve as a Mega Mentor for all the Coaches.
How do the Playoffs work on The Voice?
“The Playoffs have returned, enhancing the rivalry after the Knockouts,” declares a press release. “With each Coach only able to push forward two Artists to the Live Semi-Finals, difficult choices are made, and the remaining 20 Artists give their all.”
