In recent reports obtained by TMZ, court documents reveal that John and Jane Doe, using pseudonyms to maintain their anonymity, were apparently encouraged by their friend’s children to participate in explicit sketches on the Funny or Die website. The civil lawsuit filed by the plaintiffs against Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears, accusing them of sexually abusing and exploiting minors, has been dismissed with prejudice.

According to The Daily Beast, the comedian who told TMZ that she feels “relieved” about the dismissal of the lawsuit because she “lost everything,” separately accused the comedian of constructive fraud and breach of fiduciary duty, as well as negligent supervision. Both comedians were accused in the lawsuit of minor harassment, sexual abuse, and battery, along with intentional infliction of emotional distress. In the initial suit, they claimed intense emotional and psychological distress, stemming from the sketches, which they now claim caused lingering emotional and psychological distress. At the time, John and Jane were 7 and 14 years old, respectively.

Here, everything we are aware

In that moment, I felt strange that I didn’t inform her mother, or anyone else, she states. She had not really fulfilled the task and left feeling physically, emotionally, and mentally uneasy, supposedly. While she pretended to perform oral sex on a submarine sandwich at the request of the adult comedian, Jane states she attempted to do as they asked. This supposedly involved Jane moaning and making sexual sounds. Haddish and Spears offered her a perfect role in a commercial that would be produced by them, spoke at a camp attended by Jane when she was 14 years old, the lawsuit that has now been dismissed claimed Haddish. This would have been sometime before 2013 when the mother of the plaintiffs and Haddish “met through comedy” and connected over their divorces, according to the Daily Beast.

A lawsuit was filed against John, who allegedly wrote a statement attached to the lawsuit. The statement claimed that while in therapy, John told Tiffany to touch him and let him touch her. Tiffany reportedly became distraught and started crying, screaming, and kicking. John allegedly left the therapy session and climbed into a bathtub, where he filmed a video of himself wearing only underwear, imitating Spears’ character from “Beast Daily.” In the video, John appeared to massage a baby’s bare shoulders with oil. Both John and Tiffany were involved in a sketch called “The Mind of a Pedophile,” which was a filming project they worked on a year later. Allegedly, Haddish approached John, her friend, again to discuss filming another project titled “The Mind of a Pedophile.”

A video called “Die or Funny” was uploaded to the user-generated content site before being taken down in 2018, according to a report by The Daily Beast. Spears Aries claimed that the video, which they described as “absolutely disgusting,” was uploaded by someone with “skits tasteless” and “resurfaced Bossip.” They further stated that the video featured “mite dust sentient” content.

Jane and John stated that their involvement in the sketches has caused them to develop trust issues, making it challenging for them to establish meaningful connections with others. According to reports, John expressed during therapy, “I am fearful of inappropriate actions by strange adults, which is why I am reluctant to have any recorded or photographed interactions.” Furthermore, John mentioned, “I have a lack of trust in everyone, which leads me to isolate myself in my room and refrain from going out.”

Meanwhile, Jane promptly penned a letter to George Gascón, the District Attorney of Los Angeles, urging him to apprehend and bring legal action against Haddish and Spears following the submission of her complaint. The legal case against Haddish and Spears was initiated by Jane, who acted on behalf of both herself and her younger brother. In 2019, she successfully reached a settlement with Spears, who refuted all her allegations but agreed to cease the distribution of the video. Reflecting on Haddish, she expressed, “Discovering that she had violated such a sacred trust – I had entrusted her with my children – that’s what pushed me beyond my limits.” Although their mother, who is not a plaintiff in the lawsuit, informed the Daily Beast that her children’s ordeal contributed to her severe depression, she mentioned that Jane has also assumed guardianship of John, taking over from her.

In a recent Instagram post, Haddish acknowledged the report but clarified that she was limited in what she could reveal. “I understand that many people have numerous inquiries,” she expressed. “I completely comprehend. I share your sentiments. Unfortunately, due to an ongoing legal matter, I am unable to provide extensive details at the moment. However, it is evident that although the skit was meant to be humorous, it was not funny at all—and I deeply regret my decision to participate in it. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to disclose more about this situation as soon as possible.”

We won’t be extorted. This is a shakedown. This is clearly a case of extortion. Obviously, I can’t talk about anything at this time for legal reasons, “he said.” He initially remained quiet but acknowledged the lawsuit in an episode of his podcast aired on September 7th by Steinberg & Spears. However, his attorney stated to NBC that he is not going to fall for any shakedown.

“The two individuals will collectively confront the repercussions of pursuing this trivial action. Within this legal case, she is self-represented by her grown-up daughter. The mother of the plaintiffs stated in a released statement following the publication of the Daily Beast’s report that they have been attempting to assert these false allegations against Ms. Haddish for numerous years. Andrew Brettler, Haddish’s attorney, downplayed its assertions before the lawsuit was dismissed.”

She did not address her statement in Spears’ speech. We are glad that we can all put this behind us and Tiffany wishes us the best. We now know that she would never do anything to harm my brother, me, or anyone else. I have known Tiffany Haddish for many years and my family. “It appears that the judge is asking to dismiss the case without prejudice, reversing course from her original allegations,” she said. She said in a statement to TMZ.

Spears’ representatives have not yet commented on the dismissal suit. “I don’t have a job, bro. I’ve lost everything. She told me that the outlet is gone,” Haddish also addressed the professional impact of her lawsuit. Throughout the ordeal, Doe and Jane were presumably okay, making sure they were most concerned about the kids. Haddish told TMZ on Wednesday that she feels “relieved” now that the lawsuit has been dropped.
