Many are wondering if Agatha Raisin season 5 will be there, now that another year has passed and those episodes will air in 2022. The cozy mystery series Agatha Raisin was commissioned back in 2021 for its fourth season on TV Acorn.
The Agatha Raisin series, which is based on the book series by the late MC Beaton and follows the adventures of a former PR executive from London who took early retirement, sold her business, and moved to the Cotswolds, is a British TV mystery series that I follow both on TV and in the books written by Rod Greene, a friend of hers (which is a blessing).
“Murderers and scoundrels!” Exclaim ordinary Agatha’s count, assuming you don’t mind – excessive violence, explicit sexual content, or profanity, the series is too lighthearted in its portrayal. Raisin, although ultimately vulnerable, is a self-centered woman who divides her time between hunting down killers and pursuing men.

There is currently no official word on whether the casting calls for the upcoming 10-12 month season of Agatha Raisin’s 5th season have been posted on the social media or websites of production companies. However, in most cases, we can find evidence of casting calls happening before reading about it in the table or hearing from a few members of the cast.
We haven’t seen anything about season 5, neither any official word about cancellation, but we haven’t seen anything about cancellation either. However, some may think that cancellations don’t get renewed and never disappear when an announcement is made.
There are two factors that could potentially reduce the chances of a season 5 of Agatha Raisin being produced.
We will provide an update if we receive any additional information. Once again, it is important to note that there has been no official announcement in either direction (as of January 2023).
If you hate reading, you can always get the most delightful books in audiobook format, with Keith Penelope Dame as the narrator. Even if you despise reading, you can still enjoy them. There are more than 30 books available for you to enjoy, and if you loved the Agatha Raisin TV series, but you’re not a fan of the reader, we understand.
We have provided a comprehensive list below, which includes the corresponding series, if applicable.
While C. M. Beaton is no longer with us, she worked closely with Rod Greene, a ghostwriter, to continue her life at the end of her Together they finished Hot Trot and – after her passing – she gave him her blessing to continue on. Though his first couple felt a bit “off”, the most recent release of Delight Devil’s feels a lot closer to the “old Agatha” that he’s been making adjustments and getting better at volume after volume. Surely, it can’t be easy to take over a long-running series like that.
You can read more books about Agatha Raisin and Hamish Macbeth in M.C. Beaton’s series, as the Great British Book Club transitions over. With his approval, he will carry both.
