Athena said, “He didn’t even walk to school. He didn’t go to college. He didn’t do anything at 18. He didn’t even make it at 16. He was only 14. They took him away from the world because he was going to be somebody.”
Rayjohn was an outstanding student who had a passion for playing basketball.
The family of Rayjohn said that he was supposed to start his freshman year at Hyde Park High School on Monday. Investigators said that the shooter got away, and the police were called to the home located on East 87th Place and South Cregier Avenue.
Athena exclaimed, “He was so thrilled to go to Hyde Park. His bag was filled with school books. He was 14 years old. This is absolutely insane, just like him.”
