“When I learned that she was killed, immediately, I thought: ‘It must be that man,'” Carey informed Moriarty.
The violent murder of Dr. Amie Harwick on Valentine’s Day 2020 has caused Carey to fear the holiday.

The 63-year-old host of “The Price Is Right” expressed, “I have no desire to engage in any activities. You know? I’m uncertain if I’ll ever have the inclination to commemorate Valentine’s Day with a meal.”
Prosecutors claim that a 38-year-old photographer strangled his victim before throwing her body off the balcony of her third-floor apartment in Hollywood Hills.
Pursehouse has not pleaded guilty and his first court hearing is likely to occur this year. If a jury decides that he committed the crime, which includes charges of residential burglary and murder with the special allegation of lying in wait, he may be eligible for the death penalty.
Carey, who was among the friends of Harwick, had taken two people out, despite knowing that she was against the restraining orders. Unfortunately, she passed away one second before two weeks had elapsed.
Carey informed his weekly radio show listeners on Sirius XM that he ultimately obtained her and ended her life, a week subsequent to the murder and apprehension of Pursehouse by investigators in Los Angeles.
Carey broke down and said, “She was afraid of him, even deathly afraid, because they had been in a relationship for about 10 years and she had been stalked by her ex-boyfriend, who eventually murdered her.”
Court filings released after Harwick’s death confirmed Carey’s claims about the violence the woman had allegedly suffered at the hands of Pursehouse.
In a report that resulted in one of the restraining orders, “He has smothered me, struck me, forcefully brought my head to the ground, and kicked me,” the victim penned. “As a consequence, I have obtained bruises, difficulty in walking, bleeding, fractured blood vessels around [my] face, whiplash, and aching neck and back.”
In Saturday’s broadcast of “Final 48 Hours: The Harwick Amie Carey Moriarty Plight,” Moriarty informed Harwick’s former sweetheart that he should wake up.
He stated, “You simply cannot. I don’t know a woman who hasn’t been a victim of domestic violence, and you cannot be a person in this country.”
“It’s truly an issue that insufficient individuals recognize.”
He also talked about his quick and intense love affair with Harwick — whom he referred to as “clearly stunning” and “intelligent.”
“The countenance of a recipient of a lottery prize.” With the caption, Carey shared an Instagram photo of them alongside each other. The pair crossed paths in 2017 at a gathering in Las Vegas.
“And she played that role for me. You desire a close connection where you can fully reveal yourself to someone and be authentic,” Carey confided in Moriarty, “I fell deeply in love with her.”
She would then hide all of them over the house for me. You know, with little hearts on ’em, and I love you so much. ‘And, your dream is my dream and I love you so much. ‘And, your dream is my dream and I love you so much. ‘And, your dream is my dream and I love you so much. … And she’d leave me a card and a note … She’d leave them in my sock drawer, I opened it and I would be getting ready.
Their commitment was formally declared in early February 2018, but they had a friendly separation in the same year.
“He expressed that it was extremely excruciating,” he stated, referencing his challenging profession as one of the factors contributing to the pain. “You know, we encountered certain difficulties. Eventually, we had no choice but to end the relationship,” the comedian shared with “48 Hours,” expressing his deep distress regarding the breakup. Nonetheless.
Harwick, a former model who earned her PhD from the Advanced Study Institute in Human Sexuality in San Francisco, regularly shares her expertise on her own YouTube channel and TV podcasts.
One year later, the stunning dark-haired woman made an appearance in the documentary “Addicted to Sexting” and authored the personal manual “The New Sex Bible for Women” in 2014.
“Particularly women,” Carey reminisced in his CBS interview, “she simply desired to assist individuals. That was her life’s mission. She had such a deep concern for aiding people.”
“Starting from 2006,” Pursehouse, the alleged murderer of Harwick, was said to have been described as “fixated” on her by acquaintances, including Glenn Francis, a photographer based in Hollywood. It is believed that Harwick had resided with him and engaged in a romantic relationship with him during the years spanning from the mid to late 2000s, prior to their separation.
Pursehouse, 43, informed Page Six that he instigated a confrontation and pursued his former partner at a Los Angeles awards ceremony in January 2020, along with adult film actress Jasmin St Clair, who is also his friend.
St Clair expressed, “He [Pursehouse] went completely insane.” His conduct was menacing and offensive. He was shouting and hollering. Following the occurrence, Amie informed me that she was frightened he might appear at her residence.
She eventually succumbed to her injuries while in the hospital. The therapist was discovered lying on the ground beneath her balcony. Authorities responded to reports of a distressed woman screaming at Harwick’s residence during the early hours of February 15, 2020, which was one month after the incident.
Pursehouse was apprehended the following day.
Carey had not been in touch with Harwick for a while when he got a message from her the day before her heartbreaking demise.
“Valentine’s Day fell on a Friday,” expressed Carey during the show. “I received a message from her on Thursday. [She] expressed, ‘Hey, I understand we haven’t had any communication for some time, but I’ve been contemplating forgiveness a lot, and I would be delighted to meet up with you and have a conversation.’ And I responded, ‘Certainly, I would be thrilled to do that. I have strong affection for you.'”
The comedian who was in a serious relationship when he got Harwick’s text believes she was seeking to forge a new future as friends. He said, “Oh, I was really happy to see her again, like, it was great.”
However, the ex-partners would never have the opportunity to communicate once more.
