One of the things we know about ‘The Flash’ is that it incorporates various renditions of different characters as a result of Barry Allen’s interference with the entire timeline of the multiverse. Consequently, even Batman, who is highly adored in the realm of DC, did not escape this phenomenon. This is demonstrated by the inclusion of multiple Batman actors in ‘The Flash’.
We know that Batman, a character who has been one of the biggest names in the history of DC, has had the privilege of being portrayed by many actors in both animated series, live-action shows, and movies, including this movie called “The Flash.”
Throughout the history of Batman as a character, he has been portrayed by a variety of actors. His live-action representation goes all the way back to the 1940s, making him one of the first comic book characters to be brought to life on screen. In the trailer for the movie ‘The Flash’, which delves into the concept of the multiverse and the impact of time travel on the timeline, it is evident that multiple actors will be taking on the role of the Caped Crusader. So, how many actors will be playing Batman in ‘The Flash’?
In the movie, there were only three Batman actors that were clearly shown, despite rumors of at least six actors making an appearance. Two of the Batman actors were already teased in the trailers, but the third one was the most surprising out of the three different Batman actors that appeared.

Ben Affleck
It is probably the final run of Dark Knight as he returned in ‘Flash’ as Bruce Wayne, however, he was recently replaced by Robert Pattinson in the standalone movie ‘Batman’. Of course, Ben Affleck has been playing the character of Batman since ‘Dawn of Justice: Batman v. Superman’, as he belongs to the same universe and timeline as Barry Allen, aka The Flash, in the DCEU. It was a no-brainer that Batman would be Affleck’s in ‘Flash’.
After seeing Barry talk about how childhood traumas helped change the way they viewed the world, Batman’s Affleck was never seen talking to Barry about it. He later returned to talk to Barry about the dangers of his newfound ability to time travel, after a few scenes. Batman Affleck’s Ben was seen in many early scenes in the movie because Barry called him to ask for assistance regarding a situation in Gotham City.
Michael Keaton

The iconic Michael Keaton made his return to the DC film universe by assuming the mantle of Batman in the alternate timeline. Speculations arose about his potential portrayal of Bruce’s father, Thomas Wayne, who also donned the Batman persona in the altered timeline of the ‘Flashpoint’ storyline. Given his age and suitability for the role of Thomas Wayne, Keaton was the perfect choice.
The Tim Burton Batman films, which were released in 1989 and 1992, showcased Keaton once again taking on the iconic Batman character. Burton’s brooding and intense style played a significant part in establishing these movies as two of the finest Batman films ever made. Keaton flawlessly portrayed the role in those films. Despite his advanced age, Keaton’s Batman still possessed a considerable amount of strength and skill, as demonstrated in his portrayal as a guide and supporter to Barry Allen in the storyline of ‘The Flash’.
George Clooney

George Clooney played the role of Batman and Bruce Wayne in the 1997 movie Robin & Batman, which, while not being one of the most memorable performances, is still somewhat memorable to many kids who grew up in the 90s. Although he did make a cameo appearance in The Flash, he wasn’t just working on the assets he was given, he actively played the role of Batman.
Thanks to digitally enhanced camera footage, Barry could see his father’s confirming lawyer in the grocery store, which actually proved that his father was present in the timeline.
It was evident that the slight modification Barry made in the past had a significant impact on the persona of his timeline’s Batman, resulting in George Clooney’s Bruce Wayne taking over instead of Affleck’s Batman. Journalists rushed to the location as Wayne’s extravagant vehicle arrived. Following some quality time spent with Keaton’s Batman, Barry, delighted to converse with the Bruce Wayne he knew well, contacted Bruce.
Adam West

The Batman TV show, which was released in the 60s, gained popularity for the character and contributed to Adam West becoming one of the most iconic Batman actors of all time. Beyond the realm of comic books, this show introduced the Caped Crusader to households worldwide, although it had more of a sitcom format.
In the climax of the movie, there was a scene that included an old clip from the TV show Batman West’s. Adam West’s Batman made a cameo in ‘The Flash’, not as the same character but as another version of Batman from a different timeline in the multiverse.
Why are there many Batman versions in ‘The Flash?’
There are numerous renditions of Batman in ‘The Flash’, however, the reason behind this has never been adequately clarified. Keaton’s portrayal of Bruce Wayne elucidated to Barry that altering a specific moment in the timeline would have a significant impact on the entire timeline, consequently giving rise to multiple universes. It can be inferred that various incarnations of Bruce Wayne exist in different universes in relation to this concept.
In the post-credits scene of ‘The Flash,’ Barry discussed with Aquaman how Batman undergoes changes in every timeline, while noting that Arthur Curry was intoxicated throughout the entire duration.
