The lift halted on the twenty-second level with a ‘ding’. She exited, swiftly located Room 4485, and pressed the doorbell.
Prior to the door being opened, there were already passionate cries of a man and woman emanating from within.

The door closed loudly with a bang.

In the depths of her thoughts, she believed the man appeared somewhat recognizable.
She knew right away that there was someone important there when she saw the silver Porsche parked next to them. As she trailed behind him, she couldn’t help but secretly glance at her secretary. But when she looked back at him, she realized he was also looking at her.
She didn’t ponder much, but promptly turned to depart.
While blending in with the stream of cars, Henry Han diverted his eyes and softly murmured, “Do you know the identity of the individual we just encountered?”
Jack Rey quickly responded from behind, saying, “Mr. Han, are you referring to the individual who was apprehended by law enforcement earlier? It appears that he is the offspring of the proprietor of Anderson Corporation. He recently arrived back from overseas a few days back.”
Henry grimaced slightly. “I’m referring to the young lady.”
“Excuse me?” Jack was slightly puzzled. “Which girl?”.
Observing Henry’s somber demeanor, Jack quickly comprehended, “I apologize, Mr. Han. I will investigate immediately…”.

Henry cut him off. He pondered for a few moments and all of a sudden recollected something.
‘So it was her. Fascinating lady.’ His lips curved into a smile, and he once more gazed towards the path where the girl had departed, a hint of astonishment flickered in his eyes.
He then walked confidently towards the elevator, eagerly anticipating the opportunity to see her once more in his heart.

As she was the one who had contacted the authorities, Zoe also accompanied them to the police station.
Once she concluded her statement, a crowd of individuals stormed in from the exterior.
Her grandmother, Ciara, who took the lead, hurriedly approached and gave Zoe a forceful slap.
Zoe scowled as a metallic flavor spread in her mouth. She looked up icily at the individuals standing opposite to her.

The crowd abruptly surged ahead, brimming with worry. “Annie! Are you okay?”.
Annie nodded her head and whispered, “I’m okay.”
Then, she glanced upwards and locked her gaze on the individual positioned at the rear of the gathering.
“Zoe.”.
She softly called out as she moved ahead, observing Zoe with guilt and feebleness.
“I apologize. I didn’t anticipate your arrival… Steven and I… We didn’t intend it, so please pardon us!”.
Zoe stared at her with a cold gaze, her face devoid of any expression.
Anderson Michael also stepped forward and sighed. “The fault here is with the Anderson family,” we can’t change what has already happened but. I just want to say, you can have whatever compensation you want. We will definitely satisfy you.
Zoe scoffed. “Reparation? Are you attempting to simply brush me off with money?”.
Michael’s face contorted as a trace of remorse flickered in his gaze.
He glared furiously at Steven and yelled, “You useless idiot! You are accountable for this, so come here right away and elucidate your actions!”
Steven cast a reluctant glance at Zoe, yet he eventually proceeded forward under his father’s intimidation.

Zoe was astonished.

She gazed at the gentleman before her. Her mouth curved as her eyes began to change color to a reddish hue.

Something shattered deep within her heart. She raised her lips in a sarcastic manner and uttered, without any hesitation, “Fine, I concur.”
Steven was taken aback, slightly amazed by her determination.
He scowled and peered at her with skepticism. “Are you really being sincere?”
“We can cancel the engagement, but I want the three companies Anderson Group recently acquired as compensation!”
“What? Are you crazy?!”
Jaden let out a loud roar before Michael and Steven had a chance to respond.
Zoe gave him a cold look. “We aren’t even married yet, but you’re already so thoughtful of them. Where is your etiquette?”.

Michael lifted his hand and interrupted Jaden’s speech. He gazed at Zoe with a composed expression.

Gil and Mrs. Helen helped the old man away. Then, Jaden glared angrily at Zoe, and Michael led the lawyer away.

Suddenly, Annie’s worried voice called out from behind her, but Zoe, with a cold expression on her face, turned to leave, no longer wanting to be involved with them.
