1997.
The establishment of Garrison State Bank Agency, a subsidiary company of Garrison State Bank & Trust, with Mike as the managing agent.
1999.
Mike joined Coldwell Banker 1st Minot Realty as a licensed Realtor®, bringing an additional service to the office.
2013.
West Inkster Realty, the Real Estate agency owned by Mike and a certified Broker, underwent a transformation. Our team expanded as we welcomed Jean, another agent, into our ranks.
2018-2019.
In 2019, Mike became a co-owner and the agency relocated to a new location at 11 Central Ave East, with the renaming of Garrison State Bank Agency to Garrison Insurance.
2021.
Garrison Insurance underwent a formal transition into a family business as Mike’s spouse, Tonee, became a co-owner, and their daughter McKaila joined the staff.

Meet our Team
Since 1997, Mike Matteson has been the managing agent and owner of West Inkster Realty. He has also served as the Executive Director of USDA’s FSA/ASCS for Oliver and McLean counties prior to that time.
Jean Witt has been involved in the field of insurance for over 30 years, starting as a training coordinator for a direct writer and then becoming an agent. She has worked as an agent for Garrison Agency, which is affiliated with Bank State Garrison, for more than 7 years.
Prior to joining the family business, Behles McKaila handled various duties in the agency that offered realty and property management services. She served as the Director of the Visitors’ Convention Bureau at Garrison, taking care of different responsibilities.
Dennis Hoffer, Maintenance Worker, is the handyman who handles all property management and maintenance tasks. He brings extensive past experience from owning his own property management contracting business, as he joins our team.
Copper the Coverage Dog & Rocco the Realty Dog, the mascots of Garrison Insurance & West Inkster Realty, are the friendliest beagles who howl the most!
