Jesse, who was Ellie’s ex-boyfriend and friend, was introduced as a supporting character in The Last of Us Part II. He supervised the patrol groups in the settlement of Jackson, where Ellie and Dina were also part of the patrols. After meeting and befriending Dina, Ellie chose to remain with her despite being pregnant with Jesse’s child. However, their relationship was described as “on-and-off” in some in-game dialogues. When Ellie joins Joel on her quest for revenge against Abby, who murdered Joel, Dina and Jesse, who was a friend of Ellie’s, also accompany them.
In Seattle, Abby confronts Jesse and Ellie, instantly shooting the latter in the face. Although Jesse didn’t make a lasting mark on most fans of The Last of Us, consider him to be a relatable and likable character who was mostly left behind by Stephen Chang, who provided the motion capture and voice while modeling Jasper Jeon’s likeness.
Jesse could bring actors, but already we’ve narrowed down our top picks for Dina and Abby. Eventually, Jesse, Dina, and Abby will likely see that we’ll adapt Part II of the show’s second season, meaning that there’s speculation about Ellie and Joel starring as Ramsey and Pedro respectively, alumni of Game of Thrones. The newly released series, Last of Us, has garnered international attention after premiering on HBO in January 2023.
Simu Liu

Liu Simu, a Canadian actor, rose to international prominence for portraying Shang-Chi in Marvel’s Legend of the Ten Rings and for starring as Kim Jung in the CBC television sitcom Kim’s Convenience. He also made a name for himself as a stuntman and extra in Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim, appearing in the film as a recurring character in its seven episodes of Water and Blood. Liu also appeared in significant recurring roles in the documentary series Seven Wonders and the adventure film King Arthur, as well as in the thriller film Hello Stranger. In 2023, he will join Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in the cast of Barbie, appearing as a variation of Ken. However, there may be some doubt about whether Liu, being too young, can convincingly portray Jesse, because he got the benefit of doubt because of his portrayal of a baby-faced businessman.
Steven Yeun

He’s got the chops and acting likeness of Jesse, but it’s not ideal for Yeun to be almost 40 in Part II, considering Dina’s and Ellie’s supposed ages of 18-20. Now, for those who might be unfamiliar with Yeun’s recent filmography, he has been in Jordan Peele’s “Us” as Ricky in the town of Jupe, and the talk of the town for months. Yeun became the first Asian-American actor to be nominated for Outstanding Male Actor in a Leading Role at the Screen Actors Guild Awards and Best Actor at the Academy Awards. His role as Ben in the psychological thriller “Burning” earned him numerous accolades and critical acclaim. There’s no reason why Yeun playing Jesse would be a poor choice, as he’s known for portraying Glenn in “The Walking Dead” before dabbling in post-apocalyptic dramas.
Jasper Jeon

Given Jesse’s flexible schedule and his prior connection with the HBO franchise, it would not be foolish for HBO to be interested in him embodying the character of Last in the upcoming series. Since 2021, Jesse has been actively pursuing opportunities and it seems that his schedule is more accommodating now. He recently secured a minor voice-acting role in the video game Order Fallen Jedi: Star Wars, further showcasing his talent. While we can estimate that Jesse is in his late 20s, public knowledge about his age is limited. However, there is no denying that Jesse has the literal ‘face’ of the character Jasper in HBO’s short-lived sci-fi series. It is also worth noting that Jesse is not just a model, but a trained actor. How could we not consider including him as a front-runner for the role of Jesse in HBO’s Jeon II Part?
Ross Butler

Bringing all the right aspects of the screen to Jesse, Butler speaks for himself and is capable of more. Despite being a bit too old to convincingly play a late-teen, Jesse has landed a shot at Yeun’s role, but Butler has more. At 32, Butler has a portfolio that speaks for itself, showing his capabilities. Currently, he is filming the adventure film “Perfect Addiction” and is scheduled to reprise his role as Choi Eugene Adult in the sequel to “Gods of Fury” and “Shazam!” Butler is scheduled to reprise his role as Choi Eugene in the sequel to “Gods of Fury” and “Shazam!” Butler is currently filming the adventure film “Perfect Addiction” and is scheduled to reprise his role as Choi Eugene Adult in the sequel to “Gods of Fury” and “Shazam!” Butler is scheduled to reprise his role as Choi Eugene in the sequel to “Gods of Fury” and “Shazam!” Butler is currently filming the adventure film “Perfect Addiction” and is scheduled to reprise his role as Choi Eugene Adult in the sequel to “Gods of Fury” and “Shazam!” Butler is scheduled to reprise his role as Choi Eugene in the sequel to “Gods of Fury” and “Shazam!” Butler is currently filming the adventure film “Perfect Addiction” and is scheduled to reprise his role as Choi Eugene Adult in the sequel to “Gods of Fury” and “Shazam!” Butler is scheduled to reprise his role as Choi Eugene in the sequel to “Gods of Fury” and “Shazam!”
Brian Tee

A spin-off is going to happen that we are definitely sure about, right? We are considering the opportunity for Jesse to have a role in the spin-off as a full support to Lee, if there ever is an opportunity for Jesse in return. Let’s not count him out too soon, even though Lee is definitely out of the age range to play Jesse at 46 years old. His filmography includes appearances in Out of the Shadows Turtles: Teenage Mutant Ninja, Jurassic World, The Wolverine, The Drift, Tokyo Furious, and Fast and The Furious. Brian Tee, professionally known as Takata Jae-Beom, has earned critical acclaim for playing Dr. Ethan Choi in the medical drama spin-offs Chicago Med and NBC.
Jesse: Casting the role of Last The in Part II of Us is far more important than they’d be able to deliver, so it seems. But being an easy character to be better at is not.
