How Long To Beat Diablo 4
The main attraction for many players is the endgame content, which is likely to add dozens of hours to the total player experience. For those looking to beat it faster than others, who were able to rush through the campaign in less than 15 hours, there were additional activities such as completing dungeons and side quests to offer. In our official review of Diablo 4, written by Alessandro Barbosa, it was noted that it took roughly 30 hours to complete the campaign while maining a Necromancer, raising the question of how long it takes to beat Diablo.
Here’s a general breakdown: Indeed, I also prioritized playing as a Necro this time. Additionally, I managed to finish several optional quests and a couple of dungeons. It is important to mention that my main focus was on progressing through the main storyline, although I made a mental note of taking screenshots at the beginning and end of each act while playing in short bursts. I have been tasked with creating Diablo 4 guides from the early access beta, so I had plenty of screenshots to work with. The second estimate comes from me, yours truly.
If players are eager to reach the final stage, many of them will probably be able to complete the game more quickly. Surpasses Diablo 4 by emphasizing narrative missions and some additional leveling up, it took me approximately 13 hours in total.

Diablo 4 story summary with spoilers
We’re going to add the necessary details to let you know how the journey plays out, but we’re not going to spoil everything. We opted to summarize the narrative and campaign of Diablo 4, so we redacted the above information mostly due to terms and names that were too obvious. We’re glad you stuck around and listened. Ah, you’re still here?
Prologue and Act 1 summary
During the early access beta, players who are already familiar with Act 1 were given the opportunity to explore the fractured peaks, encountering Inarius, Vigo, Prava Mother, Neyrelle, Nair Lorath, and other leads. Your character, the Wanderer, basically sees visions of the elusive demoness and consumes Lilith’s blood.
In regards to resilience, one of the most valuable Legendary Aspects is bestowed upon you by Vigo, the remorseful warrior, who aims to make amends by offering his own life close to the conclusion of the act. The Cathedral of Light, where Archangel Inarius is revered, is now under the leadership of Prava. Meanwhile, Neyrelle desires to locate her mother, while Lorath endeavors to gain further knowledge about Lilith’s intentions.
Act 2 summary
Later, you will need to salvage what Cerrigar left in town. Each encounter leads to a miniboss, and both branches need to be completed. He will ask you to investigate some strange incidents in the region, and you will have to talk to Donan. Your journey takes you to Scosglen in the north, which has rich Celtic themes for lovers of Druids everywhere.
Act 3 summary
There are also a few times when NPCs stop to chat with you. One particular segment here feels like you have been dragged on forever, crossing the deserts of Kehjistan while a sandstorm rages. You are supposed to sacrifice a witch named Taissa, and you will rescue Lilith’s puppet, Elias, and face her. As you make your way to Kehjistan and the Dry Steppes, there is a lot of roaming and walking around here.
Act 4 summary
Andariel, the Lady of Torment, will take charge of leading the battle against the boss, accomplishing a few fast tasks in the process. Similarly, there’s a reason why this is the shortest act in Diablo 4’s campaign – it means you won’t have to aimlessly run around the overworld, trying to obtain a mount until you finally get one.
Act 5 summary
Elias pursues and tracks you down, as you had suspected. Meanwhile, Neyrelle and Lorath guide you on a journey through the region, while taking the second branch. Taissa and Donan assist you with their visions, as you choose the first branch. This section primarily takes place in the coasts, swamps, and jungles of Hawezar. This is by far the longest act in the game.
Act 6 summary
This is a part that is more similar to rushing through a boss fight without spoiling too much. Of course, there will be a hellish realm… And without spoiling too much, there will also be an all-out war as faithful zealots attempt to invade Lilith’s besieged forces, which has been besieged by Inarius. This is the part that takes you to Caldeum. Assuming you have played the previous game (a familiar place you’ll revisit), that is why we didn’t want to spoil the earlier names quest.
To attempt, the remaining post-campaign tasks will become accessible to you. This will be followed by a brief conclusion, and in order to complete the Diablo 4 campaign, you will need to overcome a formidable adversary in the final battle.
