The nature of this is most comparable to a potential misunderstanding, similar to how I find it believable. The story is slowly unfolding. I’m not entirely certain about how well the characters will be developed. I hope that the MC is portrayed in a great way, with characters that serve a purpose beyond the standard cookie-cutter rivals. I hope that towards the end of the current characters’ journey, there is a sense of hope that has been shown.
Will the character remain distinct or transform into yet another overused stereotype? Can the author craft something that truly evokes empathy for the character? It ultimately hinges on how the author navigates the portrayal of the main character and their personal history; this has the potential to take a dark and unpleasant turn. I must emphasize that.
If you are looking for a character who is broken due to similar events and experiences they’ve had, then The Return of Demon Crazy might be for you. I see the promise in what has been shown so far.
