During an interview with Entertainment Tonight in September 2022, Sajak hinted that his tenure on Wheel may be nearing its conclusion, stating, “The conclusion is imminent. We won’t continue this activity for another four decades. It has been a lengthy period. We’re approaching the conclusion. Time passes swiftly,” as he addressed the site.
She expressed, “We have been present in the households of countless individuals for four decades, so it would be peculiar to have someone else handle my correspondence.” She shared with People in December 2022, “I simply envision us remaining in that position. I cannot fathom anything beyond that… I cannot conceive. Everyone associates Wheel of Fortune with Pat and Vanna. We are akin to Ken and Barbie, don’t you think?” Meanwhile, White expressed a contrasting response compared to her counterpart.

When Sajak had a surgery emergency, White was asked at the last minute to take over his hosting duties for three weeks. If she had ever thought about hosting before, she responded to Esquire that it was just outside the realm of her experience.
