During Super Bowl Sunday, two Phoenix-area puppies selected for the Puppy Bowl 2023 will eagerly pursue, tackle, and wag their tails in pursuit of the Lombarky trophy.

Puppy Bowl XIX features the participation of 122 puppies from 67 shelters and rescue organizations, including Inya and Phoenix. Inya, a mix of chihuahua and miniature pinscher, was saved by NAGI Foundation, while Phoenix, a mix of cairn terrier, was rescued from Arizona Humane Society. They will be representing Team Fluff and competing against Team Ruff in Animal Planet’s yearly television event on Sunday, Feb. 12.

The Bissell MVP (Most Valuable Puppy) and Subaru of America Underdog accolades are given to the players.
