The chief of the general staff of the Polish armed forces on Tuesday urged Nato to adopt a much more aggressive response, including flying more aircraft armed with nuclear weapons, in the face of nuclear threats from Vladimir Putin, which he described as “gangster”-like.
General Rajmund Andrzejczak also stated that he did not believe North Korea would be preparing to sell weapons to Russia without the agreement of China.
I don’t believe that North Korea is strong enough or offers enough freedom to make such an important political and attention-testing determination, even though China says that leadership is more important than this.
Washington informed this week that it believed Putin was getting ready to purchase arms from Pyongyang.
Andrzejczak also predicted that Russia would create a crisis in the upcoming Polish election, but did not provide any public details. He warned that Russia was actively trying to interfere in the media and looking for some gaps in the system. He emphasized that Russia was on a permanent war footing in Poland.
He stated, “In the event that we lose trustworthiness as Nato, as a society, China is observing, consequently this is a significant competition.” Andrzejczak likewise cautioned that Poland would find that restricting military expenditure to 5% of its gross domestic product and a permanent army of 300,000-strong would not be adequate if Ukraine succumbed to defeat and Belarus moved closer into Russia’s sphere of influence.
While addressing the audience at the Karpacz Economic Forum in Poland, he emphasized the importance of considering the enduring economic consequences of Ukraine’s military loss.
Andrzejczak compared Russia to a mobster coming to the table with firearms, while the West seemed defenseless in their Panama shirts, referring to the continuous Russian declarations of using nuclear weapons and the deployment of Russian tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus.
“Indeed, I possess a firearm, however, I forgot to bring it with me, and my spouse has an aversion to the term.” Uttered He, as we strolled towards the park where the miscreants, resembling gangsters, were seen wearing T-shirts displaying the word ‘panama’ and enjoying cigars.
“Nato is a nuclear treaty alliance; it should be far more proactive and robust towards the Russians.
Alter storylines, for instance, the term B61 [the main US thermonuclear gravity bomb] in the present time. Aviators were prepared to take action with atomic arms and constantly flying, 30% of B-52 bombers during the 1970s and 1980s.
What is wrong with us? We are still in the same situation as Russia, a country neighboring Belarus, where Russia is publicly stating that it is putting nuclear systems in place. What are we doing in our Panama T-shirt?
“I don’t want to escalate excessively, but what is incorrect with our lexicon? Nato is a atomic organization. Period.”
He said that there had been complete silence since President Andrzej Duda of Poland asked Belarus to join NATO’s nuclear sharing program, due to the deployment of Russian nuclear missiles.
Certain countries host the weapons, but they are still under the control of the US. Nato’s policy of nuclear deterrence includes nuclear sharing, enabling member countries without nuclear weapons to participate in the planning for their utilization by Nato.
Andrzejczak also questioned whether NATO had decided what to do about an attack by the Wagner group, including invoking Article 5 of self-defense, on NATO’s territories.
The Russian defense minister inquired if the Wagner group is sufficient for Article 5 or if it is merely a private military company. He also questioned whether it is a national endeavor by Russia and who exactly constitutes the Wagner group presently.
He stated that the matter was highly delicate for Poland as they had “limited time and limited resources”.
“We have a direct border with Kaliningrad and Belarus. This is no longer a situation resembling the Cold War,” he remarked.
