According to federal prosecutors, as reported by the New York Daily News, Justin Dixon, who is believed to be a member of the Crips, is facing charges of compelling the teenager and at least two other females to reside unclothed in a house in Staten Island with him. Additionally, he allegedly transported them to a specific area in Brooklyn where they engaged in sexual activities in exchange for money.
Reportedly, he forced the adolescent and the women to clean the house, cook meals for him, and even help him with bathing.
Prosecutors claimed that Dixon collected her and transported her to the residence in New Springville, a mere block from the Staten Island Mall. Subsequently, Dixon initiated contact with the adolescent on January 22nd via Instagram.
As per a criminal complaint, supposedly he seized her cell phone and informed her that she would have to regain possession of it by engaging in the profession of prostitution.
According to authorities, SILive.Com reported that Dixon purportedly escorted the victim to the “Penn Track” on a nightly basis. This particular road, situated off Pennsylvania Avenue, served as a location where the teenager engaged in sexual activities with various individuals in return for money. The earned cash would then be handed over to Dixon.
As per the allegation, he reportedly coerced the teenager at gunpoint, saying, “You are going to wear those stilettos.”
Prosecutors stated that he intended to contact his adolescent victim, “Jane Doe,” who was referred to as petite in legal documents, and made an effort to encourage her to put on some pounds.
Dixon continuously fed Jane Doe excessively and consistently conveyed to her that she required additional nourishment, all with the intention of making her seem older than her present age. In a memo submitted on Monday, Assistant U.S. Attorney Lorena Michelen requested that Dixon be detained without bail, stating, “Furthermore, the defendant informed Jane Doe of his plans to organize a visit to Florida with her, as well as his desire to facilitate plastic surgery procedures for Jane Doe, such as breast augmentation.”.
Additionally, Dixon provided her with medication to boost her hunger, the prosecutor included.
Michelen allegedly utilized force and manipulation to effectively subject them to enslavement, compelling them to engage in prostitution. It is alleged that he established contact with his victims via social media, gradually gaining their trust by displaying romantic intentions before ensnaring them in his scheme.
On January 26, law enforcement officials went to the residence and apprehended Dixon on charges of state abduction and facilitating prostitution.
During the search, authorities found one of the two firearms Dixon utilized within his vehicle, as stated by federal prosecutors.
Dixon has a criminal history that dates back to 2016, which includes several convictions for possessing weapons.
He was arraigned on minor charges of sex trafficking. Dixon was ordered to be held without bail by a federal magistrate judge in Brooklyn’s Federal Court on Monday.
