On Sunday, Sean Payton, an NFL coach, discussed the process and timeline of hiring coaches in the NFL when talking about his future coaching prospects on Fox.
It’s been a busy week, as we’ve had the chance to visit a lot of outstanding organizations with great owners. The former coach of the New Orleans Saints said, “It’s been a busy week.”
I think it’s a good thing that candidates have the right to choose their teams, as it puts more pressure on everyone involved. I also think it’s positive that we’re seeing players from these clubs getting more playing time. Additionally, I believe that the hiring process for coaching has changed this year.
“I believe in the upcoming week we will learn a great deal more.”
Update: Fans and writers of the Arizona Cardinals express their disappointment at not securing coach Sean Payton: ‘A significant loss’.
He exercises his own rights as the Saints still seek to acquire him through a potential trade. Any team that hires him would have him work out. He has also been linked to the Denver Broncos job, and last week he interviewed with the Cardinals’ Payton.
Payton responded, “Absolutely not. There are a few things that are still happening for these coaches and me,” when questioned by host Peter Schrager regarding the possibility of job opportunities being limited.

Last week, Ian Rapoport from NFL Media reported that the Cardinals are in search of coaching to “reset” Pat McAfee on their interview.
Rapoport stated, “I am aware that Arizona is undergoing some reorganization.” “Therefore, Arizona will either make efforts to recruit Sean Payton or consider inviting one of those alternative candidates for a follow-up interview.”
If someone were to bring a second person for an interview, I would probably say that the job becomes the favorite chance for that person.
Rapoport mentioned in the interview that the Cardinals might have the opportunity to conduct a second interview with Brian Flores, Aaron Glenn, the defensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions, or Ejiro Evero, the defensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos.
Additionally, Sean Payton, a potential coach for the Arizona Cardinals, is a ‘supporter’ of quarterback Kyler Murray.
Cardinals ‘remain in contention’ for Sean Payton
Rapoport also mentioned that the Cardinals were “still in contention” for Payton.
It is still a possibility that as of now, on Thursday, he went to Arizona. There is no momentum or feeling like there should be, and there is no second scheduled interview in Houston. Payton is obviously not in play in Carolina. Rapoport said that is where it stands, so here it is.
“But that would make some sense,” we’ll observe, Sean Payton… Not acquiring either of them. Arizona was intrigued by Frank Reich, was intrigued by Dan Quinn, he persisted: “I believe there’s fascination.”

Fresh contenders in the Arizona Cardinals quest for a coach
Sites reported Monday that the Cardinals had requested interviews with Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo and Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan.
Anarumo has been the defensive coordinator for the Bengals since 2019. In contrast, Callahan has occupied the role of offensive coordinator for the team since 2019.

Increased speculation about Sean Payton becoming the coach for the Cardinals
Rumors persist regarding the head coaching position in Arizona, and Payton is leading much of the discussion.
Fansided recently stated that the Cardinals need to persuade Sean Payton to become their upcoming head coach.
In the next few days, if you closely examine the dotted line on the sign, you will realize that the franchise’s future success heavily relies on Bidwill’s ability to get Payton. There are no other options, so when you consider it, you must convince Payton to come to the desert. Jim Koch wrote the simplest terms for the Cards.
Larry Fitzgerald, a legendary player for the Cardinals, spoke highly of Payton during an interview with Arizona Sports 98.7 FM last week.
“Years prior to that and in New Orleans, Sean Payton has been accomplishing that for a considerable amount of time. If you genuinely desire to establish the groundwork for long-term success, it’s truly an obvious choice,” Fitzgerald shared with The Bickley & Marotta Show. “In my opinion.”
If you’re trying to change that conversation, the guy has the ability to do it, but he’s going to be expensive, so you have to give up compensation to the New Orleans Saints. He is a franchise-changing aspect.
Payton is second in the latest odds to become Arizona’s NFL coach, with DraftKings putting him at +120 to replace Kliff Kingsbury.
Flores is the preferred choice at -130.
Vance Joseph, the defensive coordinator for the Cardinals, ranks third with odds of +550.
