The authorities arrived at the petrol station at approximately 6:46 p.M. On Wednesday.

Surveillance footage depicted Kormanec arriving in a white sedan, with Miller following closely behind in a BMW.

Miller walked into the shop and grabbed a Red Bull drink from the refrigerator.

“Shortly after, Kormanec entered the establishment and approached Miller,” according to a sworn statement.

Both seemed to be engaged in a dispute.

A witness said, “… Kormanec asked Miller ‘why you riding my (backside)’ and simultaneously punched Miller in the face,” an affidavit states.

According to the affidavit, Miller seemed to hesitate for a brief moment before retrieving his firearm from his waistband and discharging several rounds at Kormanec. Subsequently, Kormanec pivoted as if he was departing.

The police found 12 casings for 9mm cartridges and two projectiles.

“There were (14) bullet holes in Kormanec’s body,” the sworn statement declares. “He was struck in both hands, palms, thigh, and sides.”

The police made the incident known to the public at approximately 2:25 p.M. On Thursday, despite significant discussion about it on social media prior to that.

‘It was a surprise’

The woman at the cash register in the cramped establishment mentioned that she was not present during that time. On Thursday, there were no apparent indications of the events that occurred the previous day at the gas station.

Meanwhile, outside, numerous drivers stopped by to refuel their cars.

Moreira, who filled up a Lincoln MKZ, was taken aback. One of them was Andres Moreira Jr., A 43-year-old resident of Port St. Lucie, who mentioned that he visits the gas station approximately every two weeks.

“It was surprising to me,” Moreira stated. “You simply never know when something like that is going to happen.”

He stated that the incident does not cause him to reconsider supporting that specific station.

“I’ll just be more alert and … If I feel that it’s not safe, then I’ll just keep it moving,” Moreira said.

Jim Westenhaver, 62, who got fuel in a Ford Explorer, said he comes to the station two to three times a week.

The inhabitant of Fort Pierce conveyed his astonishment upon learning about the occurrence. He stated that he has not experienced any issues in that vicinity.
