‘She wanted the night to never end’: Groom of bride killed on wedding night shares his story

The alleged drunk driver who was sharing his story for the first time was the one who killed the bride on their wedding day at Folly Beach, South Carolina.

Earlier that day, the pair had recently commemorated their nuptials. Two additional individuals were severely wounded, Aric Hutchinson and two more. Samantha Miller, who was 34 years old, lost her life, while her recently wedded spouse sustained critical injuries. A purported intoxicated motorist collided with a golf cart transporting four individuals from the rear on the evening of April 28 in close proximity to Charleston, South Carolina.

“Sam’s simply radiates with charisma. She’s the kind of person who enters a room and immediately captures your attention,” Hutchinson remarked.

Hutchinson spoke to “Good Morning America” in his initial conversation after the tragic incident that claimed his wife’s life, revealing how he is dealing with the tremendous grief following what he described as a flawless day.

Hutchinson expressed, “I’m still attempting to wrap my head around it, trying to understand the transition from a historically low point to a historically high point, which is quite challenging.”

He stated that the pair had been encircled by companions and relatives who had journeyed from various parts of the nation.

Hutchinson expressed, who included that the wedding and reception were among the most exceptional evenings of his life, “She was incredibly joyful. I imply, orchestrating a wedding, as the majority of individuals are aware, is exceptionally demanding. And she simply had an unusual, like, serenity on that evening.”

According to ABC Charleston, a WCIV affiliate, Miller and Hutchinson suffered severe injuries in the accident involving a golf cart. Hutchinson sustained cuts, brain bleeds, and fractures in his legs, back, and face. Hutchinson’s mother set up a GoFundMe page to support his recovery, as reported by GoFundMe.

Hutchinson stated that he does not recall the accident but does recall the final words his wife spoke to him.

Hutchinson expressed that his recollection was hazy, as he only recalled regaining consciousness in the hospital and inquiring about Sam. He did remember the final words uttered by her were a desire for the night to prolong indefinitely.

“That’s when (my mother) informed me there has been an occurrence and that Sam didn’t survive,” he included.

According to the toxicology report, Komoroski’s blood alcohol concentration exceeded the legal limit by over three times. As stated in a police report issued by the Folly Beach Department of Public Safety, the collision occurred when Komoroski purportedly drove at a speed of 65 mph in a zone with a limit of 25 mph. Komoroski, who is 25 years old and was operating the vehicle that collided with the golf cart, was apprehended and accused of three charges of driving under the influence resulting in severe bodily harm or death, as well as one charge of reckless homicide.

Our court system is built upon principles of mercy and justice, where all facts will come to light. We should not simply rush to judgment. We offer our deepest sympathies to the families and we cannot comprehend what they are going through. Komoroski’s attorney shared a statement after her arrest.

The lawsuit alleges that on the night of the incident, Komoroski’s employer and supervisor were also implicated and are charged with “coercing” her to participate in an event and consume “excessive quantities of alcoholic drinks”. Hutchinson filed a legal claim for wrongful death against Komoroski and multiple nearby bars and restaurants where she purportedly consumed alcohol on the evening of the collision on Wednesday.

I recently began my job training with Komoroski, and during the training, the employer, Komoroski, mentioned an organized employee event centered around drinking.

Hutchinson stated that he is not prepared to speak to Komoroski at this moment.

He stated, “I am currently unable to.” She seized a remarkable individual that should not have been taken. Well, I would be interested in doing so.

He mentioned that he can still sense her existence, explaining that he relocated back to the apartment they both lived in on the third floor. Currently, his main priority is his healing process and preserving the joyful moments he had with Sam.

He said, “It was her decision to go to the third floor because she knows I have a hard time going up and down these stairs. She’s just laughing and watching me there.” Sam wrote it all over the house. It’s nice, but it’s also hard.
