I have an awesome new job with a great position that provides a lot of exposure and experienced colleagues. I am really excited about seeing myself grow in it. It’s kind of my dream job, and the office is great – well-arranged and very neat. The seats are very comfortable, and my favorite computers are great too. I am really looking forward to enjoying this new job.
The problem with this situation is that the office is dominated by female employees, which is why the two male colleagues are feeling out of place. I don’t even dare to speak up about it, but the coffee situation is just not right. I love coffee, so it’s great that my desk is right behind the coffee machine. However, there is one issue – the desk behind mine is the tea station.

I am unable to check Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter to see what’s trending, and I can’t even access my personal emails. This network is like a corporate one, where I have limited internet access. However, I do want to mention that I am thinking about browsing some funny stuff, but I know that I have to be careful because my privacy is a concern. So, the problem here is my lack of privacy when using the internet.”
I was mistaken. I thought this was because I feel shy when I speak English and wear formal clothes, and these ladies look very nice. I have had the feeling that I have. Have you ever had the feeling that someone is staring at you while you are focused on your business? Today, I figured out why it takes them longer to prepare drinks than anyone else. I thought they were just meticulous with how they make their coffee. These ladies at the coffee table take a bit too long, but I thought they are okay.
I have been spending an awful amount of time in traffic, as it seems that every other person who owns a car is now driving to see a lot of car models that have piqued my curiosity. Just when gas prices started going down, I started piling up all the way to my mom’s shop, and I think, wait a minute, this car thing just started a few weeks ago. I honestly have no clue where it came from. Recently, whenever I open my browser, the first thing that comes to mind is to check out that thrilling model car I have never used before. I have developed a newly found interest in cars, you see. I usually take full advantage of the fast internet in the morning. I was going about my business on my computer.
A loud and soft voice echoed, “What is he looking for out there, I wonder?” Before I even realized it, there was a whole crowd gathered around my desk, all staring at my screen. I was frozen in place. It’s important to note that I’m not used to being the center of attention, especially this kind. However, despite the fact that I just got this job and don’t have a salary yet, I haven’t considered buying a car because I have no plans to do so.
Some of them were actually talking about what they had an idea of, which makes sense because they could reach the peddle as soon as they started driving. I was surprised by the amount of car advice that I got from the ladies. Later, it would become a whole argument about which car I should buy.
I was left contemplating what I should do with my screen. Now, every time one of them comes to serve tea, I can quickly switch to their tab. I should stop staring at my computer screen, it’s not productive.
