The Mandalorian Season 3 Has Damaged a Key Part of Din Djarin’s Story

In the early days of The Mandalorian, the central character of Din Djarin had a strong aversion to machines, but his journey in Season 1 involved him learning to trust and heal from these traumatic experiences.

In the very first episode, our Mandalorian’s journey takes us back to the origins of his deep hatred for machines. When we first met Mando on the icy planet of Pagodon, he refused to ride with a droid pilot and instead paid extra for a human-controlled landspeeder. It was later revealed in Season 1 that Din’s disdain for droids stemmed from the fact that his parents were killed by Separatist battle droids during the Clone Wars.

This matter, the target, was indeed the reminder that a needed Din if him at the crib floating from him at the rear, staring at the defenseless baby seemingly with a blaster pointing at his cold blood to kill Grogu. IG tried to confirm when unfortunately, the machines killing soulless were machines that were against Din’s beliefs. Having lamented that the IG-11 droid assassin is chasing the same bounty on Arvala-7, the team has turned to secure the “asset” and fulfill Din’s mission to protect Grogu, which is no surprise.

Grogu in season 1.

(Without any explanation)(and the correct technician) nurturing of a little bit with a brand new leaf could turn the machine killing into a witnessed how Din saved himself from the other Empire figuratively and literally both wounds healed. It seemed like Din was about to meet his end during Moff Gideon’s assault on Nevarro, when IG-11, who was 11 IG, healed his wounds and met his end. When he gave up the Guild Hunters’ Bounty to become Grogu’s dad, it was like he was starting a new life, just like he did when he became a droid nurse with the most dangerous assassin droids and even saw firsthand how blasters were reprogrammed at the end of season 1.

We witnessed Din’s growth and observed his changing attitude towards droids throughout the second season, when he finally let the droids work on his ship and returned to Peli’s garage on Tatooine, even though he had a run-in with the deadly Dark Troopers of the Empire in season 2 and was still willing to bring back 11-IG to life for his next adventure in season 3, instead of trusting the astromech D4-R5 that he barely spent any time with on Mandalore.
