Join us as we embark on a journey into the deepest realms of space in season two of The Silent Sea, where you’ll need to find out everything you know online and strap on your spacesuit.

There is still no sign of the first show of The Silent Sea dropping in February 2023, even after more than two seasons.

We’ve been hearing online reports that the show has been canceled by Netflix, but at the same time, we would strongly consider another source to get a statement from, as we don’t fully trust Netflix.

There were intentions for multiple excursions, indicating that Netflix referred to the initial eight episodes as “season one” instead of a “limited season”.

Our hopes have not been entirely dashed, but it’s been a long time since we’ve had any good news or updates.

According to FlixPatrol, the Silent Sea did not make waves across the world, even though it remained in the top 10 for 30 days in South Korea. However, it failed everywhere else for more than two weeks.

We’ll keep you informed – but we have to be honest, it’s not looking promising.

The Silent Sea season 2 plot: What will happen?

The play Silent Sea focuses on the journey back to Earth of the two remaining survivors, Hong Doctor and Song Doctor, who are seeking political forces while hiding and could potentially end up running on their own. It does not mention what her very existence means to the scientific community, but it does imply that the young charge is important to the community.

Additionally, this show’s premise offers a striking commentary on the key role that the silent sea of future seasons will continue to play. It presents the environmental issues our planet faces today in a thought-provoking manner.

(Via Soompi): During a conversation with Sports Chosun, Gong Yoo personally responded to the show’s varied reaction following its debut. We speculate that the individuals involved in the creative process might attempt to integrate certain suggestions provided by fans for the first season, if a second season were to occur.

Dislike it, and there are individuals who would adore it, those individuals who knew I had started working on the drama and received the script. It would be even more intense than anticipated, given that it falls under the sci-fi genre. I contemplated whether the drama could be approached from a historical investigation or scientific perspective, as there were numerous different thoughts.

Although I believe that we made the best choices within the class and reality, I acknowledge that there were certain aspects that were lacking and that I have a limited understanding of negative perspectives. “He added,” in the course, there were only a few instances where we could achieve that.

However, it’s not all negative and depressing. When discussing the influence of the show, Gong Yoo continued to say:

I think that we have opened the door for development potential. I think that this is a meaningful first step specifically for Korean sci-fi space genre. I think it was a brilliant first step and I am very satisfied with that. I think that diverse perspectives are garnering more interest in the drama, but I am grateful for that.

The Silent Sea season 2 cast: Who’s in it?

Unfortunately, it is unlikely that they will return for season two, but fans were thrilled to see notable Korean actors Yoo Gong, Sung-tae Heo, and Doona Bae, who starred in Game Squid and Sense8, in the cast announcement for the first season of The Silent Sea.

After the majority of characters died in the final act, only three remained standing as the credits rolled. These three were Sun-young Kim (portraying Luna), Si-A Kim (portraying Young Sun-young), and Doona Bae (portraying Doctor Song).

To include him in a brief appearance, flashbacks are utilized, unless the renowned actor Gong Yoo will not return, implying that even Captain Han perished in a valiant act of selflessness.

This implies that the second season will predominantly feature a completely fresh ensemble to progress the narrative beyond the first season.
