Trump plans to start holding campaign rallies within weeks as he hints at plan to launch 2024 presidential run

According to the New York Post, ex-President Donald Trump is set to resume hosting rallies in the upcoming month, while still alluding to a possible 2024 candidacy.

According to a source, there were plans for two rallies in June, with a third one scheduled around the July 4th holiday, as reported by the Post.

Following his impeachment trial, Trump has strengthened his hold on the party and continues to be a widely-supported Republican contender for a 2024 campaign within the GOP.

He has the backing of senior Republican legislators, including Sen. Mitch McConnell, the leader of the Senate minority, and Sen. Lindsey Graham.

Liz Cheney, who was ousted from House leadership last week, angered colleagues in the House who were critical of Trump for his repeated criticism and efforts to overturn the election results.

In May, during Utah’s GOP conference, Senator Mitt Romney, who has also expressed disapproval of the president, faced booing and was labeled a “traitor” by individuals in the crowd.

In a bid to overturn the presidential election, numerous individuals proceeded to forcefully infiltrate the Capitol edifice. Following his participation at a “Stop the Steal” protest in Washington, DC on January 6, where his followers were present, Trump has refrained from holding any rallies.

The unsuccessful siege led to five casualties and witnessed Trump facing an impeachment trial, in which he was ultimately acquitted.

Trump, during his presidency and before, favored holding dozens of rallies across the United States as an effective way of directly communicating with his supporters.

The ex-president has consistently suggested that he may campaign for the position once more in 2024.

Trump recently informed the Daily Wire, “I believe individuals will experience great satisfaction upon hearing a particular announcement from me.”

During his conversation with host Candace Owens, he mentioned, “You see, due to campaign finance regulations, initiating it too soon is not advisable as it transforms into an entirely distinct matter.”

“Alternatively, I would provide you with a response that I believe would greatly satisfy you.

“Therefore, we are examining that very, very earnestly, and all I would suggest is to remain attentive.”

In March, he informed Fox News that he was “genuinely contemplating” running but did not offer additional specifics.

“I am seriously looking at this, I must say, when Fox News asked about the possibility of running in 2024.”

“From a legal perspective, I do not wish to discuss it at this time.”

To continue garnering financial support from his followers, Mary Trump, the niece of the ex-president, informed Insider in March that she anticipated the president would playfully consider a 2024 candidacy.

Since departing from his position, he has garnered millions of dollars in contributions through his political action fund “Save America”.
