Trent Will returns tonight on ABC for its 11th season, but the good news is that the series has already been renewed for a second season. In the first episode of the two-part finale, Angie embarks on a quest to bring down her childhood abuser, while undercover as Bill Black. Get ready for an exciting season finale next week!
Over the past five weeks, Special Agent Trent Will has been working undercover as Black Bill in Macon, Georgia, on a mission to take down a crime operative responsible for the disappearance of DEA Agent Matthew Menaker. He has been taken under the wing of Dante’s cousin Rosa, a nursing student who rents an apartment in a complex where multiple members of the gang reside. Although there are a few innocent residents, it is a pity that he has nothing to do with them. It is known that he is on parole for another crime, and it is unfortunate that he has been taken by the gang members who work under the shadowy figure named Bru Bevin Rosa.
The issue was unresolved when he left undercover, but she didn’t believe that he was holding them for a friend and she swore that Erika Polaski wasn’t using drugs. Angie tells Will that Faith triggers a memory from five weeks ago when she found drugs hidden in his closet. Before Faith leaves, she tells him that she’s going to dinner at Rosa’s tonight and he tells her that he’s going to introduce her to Dante. Will notices that Faith is acting strangely around Rosa when they arrive in the courtyard. C.K. Tells him that Angie says hello and that she transcribed his most recent mini-tape of recorded notes. Inside Will’s apartment, she stops to check in and acts as his probation officer, although she is not heavily involved in the job. Mitchell is also acting as Faith’s partner on the job.
Dante, wearing a suspicious expression, and his siblings depart from the table. While enjoying a meal at Rosa’s apartment, Will detects the sound of their father coughing in a bedroom nearby. Upon hearing this, Rosa and Gabriel politely excuse themselves to attend to their father, declining Will’s offer of assistance. Will encounters Gabriel, who harbors a dislike for Dante and appears indifferent towards Bill Black, at Rosa’s apartment.
Rosa, a lawyer, finds that Faith and Will are both confused after Will is released and questioned. Will matches the description of the man who shot Bill during the release, leading to his arrest by Sheriff Hagar and the immediate arrival of the police. In the complex apartment, where they don’t have much time, Rosa helps bandage Will’s wound and they go to her apartment. Dante dies in the shootout, but Will, with a graze on his leg, begins shooting at them from behind the fence, as he gets a view of the van driver. Will continues shooting at them from the van driver’s view, with just a graze on his leg from behind the fence. Before officially meeting him, he wants to know if C.K. Will do whatever he tells him to do. He learns that Dante was ordered to have him killed by C.K. Because his replacement, Mac Wells, was talking too much. Will recognizes that Mac Wells is the leader of the trio and wants to talk to him. However, he is beaten up by the goons and taken to a basement. Shortly after, he returns to the apartment complex.
Meanwhile, Crystal from Chapel Oaks (the APD for Angie) is looking at Angie with tears in her eyes as soon as she sees her. Angie tells Crystal that she tried to tell her mom but she didn’t want to hear it. Crystal tells Angie that she should stay with a friend and not return to their apartment for any reason. Crystal advises Angie not to tell her mother about the school project and wants to hear more about it. Before leaving, Crystal hugs Angie and tells her that she will take care of Lenny, the adorable chihuahua, after taking care of Will’s dog. Despite this, Angie still asks Will to take care of him and explains the situation to Betty, who is on the pillow next to Will in his black garb during their post-coital talk session. Will tells Angie that he has given him more clarity on their situation and thanks her for always being there for him, even during tough times.
Rosa plans to phone her from the watch, as the vlogger is currently live streaming. Gabriel will supervise him and give Will a knife to do the job. She demands an act of loyalty from him to prove himself, and Rosa tells Will that she can trust him as she returns home with her brother Gabriel. Unfortunately, Will realizes out loud that he is caught with Rosa pointing a gun at him. Spears Malcolm, the missing DEA agent but not Rosa’s father, is chained to a bed and drugged in the hall. Will takes the opportunity to creep down the hall, learning that the coughing man is Rosa’s father, who is missing. He watches Rosa open the door to her father’s room, where he is resting, and then moves across the hall to his own bedroom. Rosa seems to display behavior that contradicts the compassion she previously showed for her relatives, which annoys Will. As they talk, Rosa’s dad starts coughing from his room down the hall. They go to Rosa’s apartment for lunch the next day.
Angie approaches the door of Crystal’s apartment, met by the sounds of an argument inside. She opens the door to find Stewart French (Lenny’s mom) trying to touch Crystal, who she caught trying to catch her off guard when she came home. The presence of Angie sets Lenny off, and he attacks her. But before he can do anything, Crystal returns from the kitchen with a knife and stabs him in the side of the neck. She is able to overpower him and hold him at gunpoint, forcing him to his knees. Diane freaks out and comes up with a plan. The girls decide to leave an alibi by going to see the next movie showing at the mall. After they leave, she will pin the blame for Lenny’s death on herself, making it look like a self-defense act.
Taylor warns Rosa that she should not make any noise and stay in the apartment because they believe that they are dead. He also asks Gabriel to call the GBI and request Naloxone to reverse Faith and Mitchell’s overdose. Taylor explains that they were actually working with the GBI, but they were ordered to be executed. He pulls the plug on Taylor’s computer and asks Will to tie up Gabriel. However, Gabriel bursts into Will’s apartment, ambushing him and knocking him unconscious. (Liv Bryant), the vlogger, captures the entire incident.
When Will Menaker returns to Rosa’s apartment, he begins to seduce her, realizing instantly that she was a threatening cop. He pulls out Rosa’s gun from her waistband and falls for her bluff, administering a drug to Agent Menaker. Will calls her on it and pulls out Naloxone, releasing him from the handcuffs and carrying him out of the bottom stairs of the apartment, trying to stop some of Rosa’s goons from taking him down. Taylor and Marcos, another neighbor of Marcos, drive away loading Menaker into the car and join the party getaway. Will realizes that there will be crew threatening to kill him before the police arrive.
He offers his help to stage the crime scene in a believable manner, rather than pushing it back. Instantly, Michael sees the holes in Angie’s story, but he sees the attack that occurred in the living room with kitchen objects. She managed to free herself by stabbing him and describes the attack where she beat Lenny with a rolling pin. Michael asks her what happened and finds his partner Angie on the floor in Ormewood.
Will, who is still wearing Black Bill’s unusual hoodie, tells Amanda Wagner, his boss and detective, that Rosa is in custody, and all the places mentioned by Black Bill are being raided by Agent Menaker. Since then, he may not be able to recover and detox before going home and taking a shower.
He holds their hands for a moment before he leaves. Ange tells you what you gotta do. She announces her intentions to move out of Will’s house and apologizes for their recent one-night stand. He apologizes for thinking she was on drugs. He realizes that the drugs he found in the apartment were meant to make Lenny overdose accidentally and kill him. Will goes to the hospital to see Angie, who is recuperating.
