The Twitter community is accusing former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and CBS broadcaster for using a racial slur during Sunday’s AFC Championship game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals.
Isiah Pacheco, the rookie running back for the Bengals, managed to evade three defensive players from the Chiefs in a first-down play, which sparked a discussion about Romo’s performance on Twitter among sports enthusiasts.

“This could make all the distinction. Furthermore, they do not fail to tackle. They are the most skilled team when it comes to tackling. We discussed this previously. … Three times they arrived just in time. Pacheco’s run was extensively praised by Romo, who played a significant role in the finishing play. The yards were challenging. Additionally, there were extra yards.”
Soon after the Super Bowl, some sports fans on Twitter asked if others heard what could be interpreted as a gaffe by the former three-time Super Bowl champion and NFL superstar, Sharpe Shannon, who has also become an announcer of the century.
“It’s [television]. You get excited and occasionally lose track of your surroundings,” Sharpe tweeted.

Twitter user @MaseSkyWalker21 inquired, “To whom do you direct the N word on a regular basis in order to feel so at ease, almost to the point of saying it on national television?”

Neither CBS nor Romo has made any public statements about his on-air comments.
Many spectators of Sunday night’s AFC championship game were shocked when the announcer, who used to be a Cowboy, abruptly halted his commentary to address a derogatory slur that was said on-air by Romo, regardless of whether they chose to ignore it or not.
“Tony Romo went from ‘insightful, predictive announcer’ to ‘Bob Saget narrating America’s Home Videos” in two years,” NFL writer Christian D’Andrea tweeted.
In just two years, Tony Romo transformed from a perceptive and foresighted commentator to sounding similar to Bob Saget narrating America’s Home Videos.

“It’s really fascinating to wonder what it would be like to have Jim Nantz fired,” exclaimed George Balekji, a Boston sports journalist. “Tony Romo is so good at ruining elite game moments.”
