In contrast to the year 2021, the overall monetary reward pool for the year 2022 is valued at $60,102,000, which is the greatest sum ever provided and signifies a rise of 4.59%.
Last year, Emma Radacanu and Daniil Medvedev both received a significant boost in their careers when they were crowned champions at the Grand Slam tournaments. As a result of their victories, they will each be awarded a prize money of over $2,600,000 in the upcoming New York tournament.
After the final, the runner-up will also be granted a 4% raise in comparison to 2021, resulting in a total sum of $1,300,000 being awarded to them.
With first-round participants earning themselves $80,000, which is 6.67% higher than in 2021, all of the main draw rounds witness comparable increments in comparison to the previous year.
In the doubles tournaments for both males and females, the victors will collectively receive a payment of $688,000, reflecting a growth of 4.24% in comparison to the previous year.
Since 2016, the USTA has allocated more than $6 million towards the qualifying round, marking a substantial 223% growth, alongside the main draw’s prize money.
