Kelsea Ballerini, a country star, has collected her thoughts to mourn this chapter of her life as she prepares to show her fans a chance to see the side of her story through a six-song EP titled “Mat Welcome The Up Rolling.” After nearly three months of finalizing her divorce with fellow country star Morgan Evans, she has unveiled a vulnerable masterpiece.

Throughout the years, affection has brought her immense sorrow and Ballerini is now delving into her sincere feelings, revealing the most wonderful aspects of love on Valentine’s Day, mere days prior to its debut. She resorted to social media to provide a sneak peek of the upcoming endeavor.

She recently wrote a post expressing her happiness on Valentine’s Day. I’m so proud of this bold and open art of mine, never before have I been this respectful and loving. Here’s my truth, my heart, and my journey of healing. Welcome to the rolling mat, I’m excited to share this short film, story, and song with you.

Chapter 1 – “Mountain With A View”

Ballerini finds herself eventually breaking point and uncovering her emotions, leading to the end of her relationship with Evans. Then, she sits down at the stunning front table, kicking loneliness as she steps into their empty house mat with a “welcome” past. It appears that her former husband, with whom Ballerini is delayed in returning home, is calling her on the phone.

Towards the end of the initial thoughts, his marriage reveals which gives a nod to Evan’s heartbreaking release titled “You For Over” in the honest and painful song, towards the conclusion of the bridge.

“I believe that this is the moment when it’s finished for me.” / “I acknowledge that you adored me significantly more when we were twenty-three years old.” / “Occasionally, you neglect yours, I believe we have reached the end of trying.” / “I’m still wearing the ring, but I suspect I’m being untruthful.” / She croons, “One day you’ll inquire, ‘When did it reach its conclusion for you?'” And subsequently provides her answer in the refrain.

Chapter 2 – “Just Married”

As she sings the second track from the country star’s album “Just Married,” she showcases the downfall that stems from their relationship. At the same time, he continues to add empty plates into her hands to represent the emotional weight she carries on her shoulders. Moving into chapter two, Ballerini steps out in a white silk dress as a man who plays love interest, hardly acknowledging her presence but still showing his love for her.

Ballerini sings, “It was just then that we got married / It was love / I couldn’t stay strong enough to carry the weight of it all / I wasn’t capable of burying our problems or fixing a broken plate.”

Suddenly, she is relieved of that weight as the plates come crashing down, and the story transitions into her next song, “Penthouse.”.

Chapter 3 – “Penthouse”

The female songstress, who discusses wanting a home to grow in, found themselves confined in the apartment located off Avenue Eight in Nashville, but feeling suffocated by their new residence.

“Baby, you were playing at home in a luxurious penthouse. Alright, I can guess wrong sometimes. The day started with the curtain coming down as we moved out. She asked in the chorus, ‘Did you hate me when I left town, but we got along really nicely?’ We never had weekends together, but we played five nights a week.”

Chapter 4 – “Interlude”

Instead, Ballerini continues with her stories in the second 45-second “Interlude,” where she is greeted with love and interest as she turns away from the large stone and walks off to show her wedding ring, reaching out her hand.

She dives into the pool with a view of the busy city, reflecting on the struggles and pain she encountered as a couple in the spotlight. She doesn’t blame the public who doesn’t know the full truth behind her.

Once I realized that individuals are simply human beings, I developed an affection, because now, which stance will you adopt? Perform to what was assumed, it wasn’t apparent how I am losing weight, the internet says, and it’s fine if I inquire, now my mother’s affection is divided between hatred and love, and there exists a delicate boundary between the two.

Ballerini continues, “Rumors are going ’round, but the truth is kind of nuanced. I don’t want to set it straight, my lawyer says I shouldn’t criticize only to town like this. It ain’t like it, but I wanna set it straight, says my lawyer. I’m blowing up my life, but I’m standing by the crater, walking out on stage and crying later. Good thing I’m alone ’cause I’ll sign the papers.”

Chapter 5 – “Blindsided”

“The brief interlude called ‘Blindsided’ is followed by ‘Interlude,’ asking, ‘Baby, were you blindsided or were you just blind?’ As Ballerini starts to reclaim the truth and reveals the tell-tale signs that spoke behind the reasons for their divorce.”

In 2019, their facade reached a low point when Kelsea Ballerini needed to open up about specific moments and therapy, in addition to talking about their own time.

I’m really into her, as she lays in the bed next to me, singing. “I’m dying inside, but it’s okay,” she sang, while I put on a smile. I’ll dress in your favorite suit for our next date. Then, we slept on the couch. We had a huge fight. It was like that one time in 2019, right before the big show.

Chapter 6 – “Leave Me Again”

As she sits in the empty closet, Ballerini prepares to move on from this deep sadness dives into the chapter “Leave Me Again”. She finds Evans well on his own journey, wishing her to come to the stage.

She will never lose sight of that again, as she is working on rediscovering herself. Ballerini is drying up her tears and the papers have been signed, indicating that the fights are now over.

She serenades her ex-lover, crooning, “And I pray that I never abandon myself again / I wish for you to acquire the home, a loving spouse, and children / I wish for you to discover a new companion / I long for a moment when our paths cross and you radiate happiness.”

In October, the ex-partners came to an agreement, which disclosed that they had “left” their marital residence in Nashville, as stated in documents obtained by PEOPLE. On the exact day when she received a GRAMMY nomination and acquired the keys to her fresh residence, the singer of “Heartfirst” made the formal declaration that she was initiating divorce proceedings against Evans after almost five years of being married. On Monday (Aug. 29).

I am very sad to confirm that Kelsea and I are parting ways, almost five years after our marriage. Later, Evans followed with his own statement. I wish it were otherwise, but sadly, it is not.

They have posted about each other numerous times on various social media platforms. Speculation began when the pair was pictured together at the College Football National Championship. Now, there are rumors that Chase Stokes and Kelsea Ballerini are dating.

Congratulations Kels. It’s so heartwarming to see you share that beautiful photo with Ballerini and him on Instagram to celebrate the release of your new EP.
