Week 13 Waiver Wire Pickups: Zonovan Knight, JaMycal Hasty, and Treylon Burks Can Help Your Teams

Treylon Burks and Zonovan Knight have included their rosters, so managers looking to improve their fantasy teams should consider targets and pickups on the Week 13 waiver wire. Let’s take a look at the top options available on the Week 13 waiver wire to enhance our rosters. It’s nearly time for the football fantasy season of 2022, with Week 12 already in the books.

Note: All roster percentages are sourced from Yahoo, and players are arranged by position in order of importance.

Zonovan Knight, RB, New York Jets (0% Rostered)

I’m uncertain about the amount of people who knew about Zonovan Knight’s identity before this week. Nevertheless, they certainly acknowledge him now.

In Week 12’s game, Michael Carter, the primary back for the Jets, operated as Knight’s replacement. He played a team-high of 47% snaps, catching three targets for 34 yards and carrying the ball 14 times for 69 yards. Unfortunately, he left the game with an ankle injury, making James Robinson inactive.

He could be worth bidding 20-30% of FAAB. Knight could also be worth nothing. I would be surprised if he didn’t miss any time, given how quickly he was ruled out. It’s unclear how long Carter will be out this time.

JaMycal Hasty, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars (2% Rostered)

It was not the way I intended to rush attempts on Underdog Fantasy. Travis Etienne Jr. Left the game early with a foot injury.

JaMycal Hasty was a true workhorse, stepping in and playing 77% of the snaps. He had a touchdown and accumulated 67 yards for his receivers, successfully catching all five passes thrown his way. However, when it came to running the ball, he only managed to gain 28 yards on 12 carries, showing inefficiency.

Players are notoriously optimistic about their health. But it doesn’t sound so serious. “I said, Etienne will be out for the next week after the game. We have no idea how much time Etienne will miss, if any.

Adding Hasty would be more of a precautionary measure, as it seems. Prior to Week 13, Hasty is likely to be the most sought-after player in the waiver wire if Etienne is sidelined for a prolonged duration. When you finalize your waiver claims on Tuesday night, remember not to overlook Hasty, although I am unable to provide a recommended budget for him at this time. If Etienne does happen to be absent, Hasty will undoubtedly be the player we can rely on.

Treylon Burks, WR, Tennessee Titans (51% Rostered)

The first-round rookie, who has had two successful weeks consecutively, may be on the verge of a significant improvement in the second half. Burks is undoubtedly the top receiver on the team, even though he continues to play in the shadows of Robert Woods and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.

For this week, I plan to allocate 20-25% of my FAAB budget to acquire him. He is the most valuable wide receiver to consider adding. This marks two consecutive games where he has scored 17 or more fantasy points. Additionally, he had the fortunate opportunity to recover a fumble by Derrick Henry in the end zone, resulting in six points. Burks successfully caught four out of six passes thrown his way, accumulating a total of 70 yards.

DeAndre Carter, WR, Los Angeles Chargers (23% Rostered)

DeAndre Carter had his best game of the season against the Cardinals, catching seven out of ten targets for 73 yards and a touchdown. He reached double-digit fantasy points for the third time in four games.

If he is still available, this receiver is worth a 10-15% FAAB bid, especially if you need him for this week. I don’t anticipate Williams returning next week, so at the very least, Carter will provide more utility. Carter will remain a useful player as long as Williams is out.

Zay Jones, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars (24% Rostered)

On Sunday, Zay Jones had his best game of the season, catching 11 out of 14 targets for 145 yards and scoring the game-winning conversion. Throughout the season, Jones has been consistent and reliable, although not particularly impressive. He has made another appearance on the waiver wire column this week.

An FAAB bid ranging from 8-12% is a worthwhile investment, as he continues to prove his value. However, it is unlikely that he will repeat this performance. Jones is a viable option to start and should be rostered by more teams, as he shares a similar snap count with Christian Kirk. Furthermore, Jones consistently plays in every down situation, running just one route less than before.

Nico Collins, WR, Houston Texans (24% Rostered)

Collins has amassed approximately 10 fantasy points in five out of his last six games. He successfully received six out of nine targets, resulting in 44 yards. Once more, Nico Collins outperformed all other Texans players in terms of snaps played, routes covered, and targets received.

You can bid FAAB 5-7% on him. He is serviceable as a WR3/4, but he doesn’t have a particularly high ceiling. It appears that Brandin Cooks has surpassed Collins as the top receiver on the team. They have no choice but to throw to him. The Texans exist in a constant state of negative game script.

Kendall Hinton, WR, Denver Broncos (1% Rostered)

I would recommend anyone to be aware that the Broncos’ offense is the worst in the league, although it is admittedly tough. Kendall Hinton has been operating as the clear WR2 for the Broncos in the absence of Jerry Jeudy.

Don’t worry about it too much, but if you’re unable to, you can probably acquire Hinton for a 3-5% FAAB bid. That amount of workload is worth giving a try, especially in deeper leagues. Despite only catching five of them, Hinton was targeted nine times against the Panthers.

Isaiah McKenzie, WR, Buffalo Bills (33% Rostered)

After seeing his snap share decline, Isaiah McKenzie was clear as the primary slot receiver on Thanksgiving, with Khalil Shakir running more than double the routes and snapping at a percentage of 73.

McKenzie was the standout of the game with six receptions on 10 attempts for 96 yards and a touchdown.

If you have someone to drop a couple of bucks on, you can throw it on him. His games spike are unpredictable and random. I have no interest in picking up McKenzie, despite his quality outing.

DeVante Parker, WR, New England Patriots (13% Rostered)

DeVante Parker, who led the team, served as the Patriots’ WR1 due to his performance in running snaps and routes. Unfortunately, Jakobi Meyers sustained a shoulder injury on his first snap, which resulted in him being limited to just 16 snaps.

Although Nelson Agholor had more targets than Parker, I consider that to be mere chance. Parker continues to be the favored choice.

He was the final player on the team’s last play of the game. Although he was able to return to the game in a limited capacity, Meyers’ injury didn’t look great.

The reports we receive on Meyers on Monday and Tuesday will rely on whether he’s deserving of any FAAB. If he’s not, Parker transforms into a valuable WR3. However, if he is not, Meyers might be ready for the upcoming week with a prolonged break between the game and Week 13.

Mack Hollins, WR, Las Vegas Raiders (20% Rostered)

You will never feel assured starting Mack Hollins. However, he serves as the Raiders’ second wide receiver, with Hunter Renfrow unavailable.

Hollins has scored double-digit points in consecutive games. The Raiders could be in another shootout with the Chargers next week. If you need a starting spot, it may be worth bidding 3-5% of your FAAB on Hollins.

Foster Moreau, TE, Las Vegas Raiders (39% Rostered)

If you need a tight end, you can certainly bid 3-5% of your FAAB on Moreau. He has scored in his last three games, but Foster is not as productive as Moreau. Kelce and Andrews are the top tight ends, while Travis is not consistent. It’s challenging to find good tight ends.
