If you tap this option, the message will be stored in Voice Memos, as I mentioned earlier. If you long press the Audio Message you sent or received, you will find the Save choice.
After tapping the Save button, your message will be saved as an audio file with the caf extension. The saved message will be named “Audio Message.Caf” and “Message.Caf”. There will be saved voice messages in the Recordings and Voice Memos app. To access your saved message, open the Voice Memos app and tap on the All Recordings tab. But don’t worry, your message is saved, so you won’t lose it. Even after saving your message, there won’t be any message or notification saying that your message is saved.
If you are using Voice Memos for iCloud, you can turn on or off the option to sync your audio messages across all of your devices that are signed into the same iCloud account.
