At the heart of Houston, there is a dispensary and cocktail bar that vividly showcases a wild array of adventurous concoctions, capturing the lavish flavors of a coffee shop.
Last month, cousins Andrew and Adyson Alvis, the duo behind Houston’s Apothecary CBD and Coffee Grinder’s Bar establishments, opened a new shop called The Apothecary CBD and Coffee Grinder’s Bar. This shop features a focused program on sourcing and roasting beans for Tenfold Coffee by Jacob, as well as offering a menu of cannabis-based provisions for the shop.

With distinct bar stations for patrons inside and those going through the drive-through, approximately 1,800 square feet out of the Houston Heights establishment’s total area of 2,500 square feet is dedicated to its extensive range of beverages.
For a while, indoor service involves using the GbW E65S Mahlkönig grinder and LP Steam Slayer 2-group espresso machine to prepare drinks, while motorists can quickly make drinks using the auto tamper Puqpress and the Groundbreaker Faema grinder with the E71E Faema 2-group espresso machine.
Wild offers a variety of cocktails and mocktails, including bitters coffee made by their own company, as well as hemp-inclusive lattes and a few CBD-infused options. Loveramics specializes in brewing and drip coffee, using the EK43 grinder for grinding single-origin espresso beans, while the Anfim Cody An grinder is reserved for reserved espresso.

Kevin Dikdan, the food and beverage director for Wild Concepts, informed Daily Coffee News about the bitters, stating, “The process we use is exclusive to us, and the components vary according to the season. However, we can confirm that it includes freshly brewed coffee, a range of fragrant substances, and agents that add bitterness, along with various techniques for extracting flavors.”
Laurie Harvey and Kris Sowell of Ladies of Libation Wild have designed a program to concoct cocktails by adding various ingredients and brewing them, including bitters.
The secret weapons of Carajillo include coffee-based concoctions, which consist of mixed espresso combined with mezcal, Cointreau, Kahlua, 43 Licor, candied orange, and cinnamon. Another delightful option is Lucky Charms, where Irish whiskey mingles with coffee, Drambuie, honey, and marshmallows.

Dikdan stated, “We prioritize fair trade prices and ethical farming practices, and we are always looking for exotic and rare coffees, particularly microlots. We also aim to provide the best cocktails and coffee in Houston, and we are interested in having our customers enjoy some cake as well.”
The environment of Wild is awash with leafy plants in which the neon lights of alien buzz and materials that are electrified are woven into pendants.

Dikdan expressed, “spread out within the area are flora and indigenous artwork, additionally, our coffee and CBD packaging exhibits animals that are native to Bali, Southeast Asia, and the South American jungle.” “Our design is greatly inspired by our global journeys, with a strong influence from Bali, Southeast Asia, and the South American jungle.”
The company has no immediate plans to bring another retail Dikdan house in roasting, while Wild-branded whole bean bags are sold online and at the cafe.

Dikdan stated, “We have the intention of maintaining the same high-quality across the supply chain and we are already looking into scaling up in our next location.” It seems that our clientele has been very receptive to the concept of premium coffee infused, as indicated by the results from our first month of opening.
Wild is situated at 2121 N. Shepherd Drive in Houston. Inform DCN about your fresh café or coffee beanery here.
