Viktor Hovland Still Not Ruling Out Jump to LIV but Says New League ‘Has a Long Way to Go’

This phrase boldly yet captivates the attention now, as they have a lot of money in addition to the fact. It is common for one thing to have more than one, such as the portrayal of Jordan Belfort by Leonardo DiCaprio in the movie The Wolf of Wall Street and the Golf LIV.

“I’m not freaking leaving!”

In order to ensure that people from all walks of media attend, the fancy ballroom in Lower East Side of New York City, LIV, gathered over 100 executives in branding and advertising during this past week, with plans to continue doing so even in 2024, 2025, 2026, and beyond 2027.

To form a united endeavor, it is clear that there are no intentions for future arrangements following the preliminary agreement between the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF) and the PGA Tour to resolve the extensive lawsuit they were involved in and merge as a single entity seven weeks ago. Speculation suggests that LIV is likely to fade away and become obsolete.

The golf league’s most prominent figures, including Cam Smith, Dustin Johnson, and Bryson DeChambeau, were present to discuss their enthusiasm for LIV’s structure and the potential enhancements it will bring to the game of golf in the future.

Despite the “headwinds” that the league has been experiencing since the announcement of the merger, Greg Norman also explained that he is still receiving phone calls from players who have an interest in joining LIV.

Norman appears confident in the decision he made to not be one of the points beyond the Washington Post merger, as well as in LIV’s existence this past year.

“…if the PGA Tour and the PIF manage to agree on final terms and their partnership becomes official, the tour has made clear it plans to oust Norman immediately.”

The initial information about the merger suggests that the PGA Tour and LIV will form a newly-established organization.

Jay Monahan, the Commissioner of the PGA Tour, stated in the initial letter to players following the merger agreement:

There is much work to do to get us an agreement from a definitive agreement framework, but it is obvious that our fans, players, and game will benefit for years to come. The future of the PGA TOUR’s legacy and pro-competitive model remains intact, but it is supercharged for the future through this transformational agreement with the collaborative investment of PIF. The strength of the TOUR’s immeasurable history and the obvious thing is this agreement.
