Billy the Kid and Pat Garrett

Billy the Kid had a sorrowful childhood.

He was only four years old when his father died, leaving behind a once-promising family that now seemed destitute. Without his father to guide him, he was subjected to a life of poverty.

To explore opportunities in California, he departed, whereas his stepfather arranged for him and his siblings to reside with other relatives after the passing of their mother, who later remarried when he reached the age of 15.

Billy, who grew up without parents to provide for him, started committing crimes at a young age. Over time, he developed a pattern of violent behavior and became skilled with a firearm.

Despite any assertions, he never married or had any children.

There have been numerous individuals pretending to be him and asserting that Garrett did not shoot him. This information is false, and these assertions have never been validated.

He had two siblings, but one vanished from the records, and the other appeared to lack any association with him beyond their childhood.
