Does A Salt Brine Bath Make Pork Chops Salty?

Brine Pork Chops
Allow the chops to refrigerate in the bowl for a minimum of 1 hour to rest. Ensure that they are fully submerged in water by placing them in water chops. Stir until the salt has dissolved, then combine water and salt in a spacious bowl.

Sear Pork Chops
The pork chops should be seared on both sides for about 2-3 minutes until they are lightly browned. Season the entire cutlet with freshly ground pepper and a double dose of hot oil. In a Dutch oven, melt lard over medium-high heat. Pat the cutlets dry with a paper towel and remove any excess water. Remove the cutlets from the refrigerator. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Bake
Place the pork chops on a double-cut lined baking sheet with oversized foil. Pull the foil up around the sides of the chop to create a bowl. Spray the foil with non-stick cooking spray. Place the chops in a hot oven and bake until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit, using a high-quality and affordable thermometer. Carefully remove the tent and foil from the oven to allow for about 10 minutes of rest.
