The plastic handle shaft cracked when turned with excessive force.
It was flawless and Part Select promptly provided me with a substitute. The rod was too brief to fit upon the arrival of the initial replacement, and the sole issue arose. The stainless steel substitute was pressed down and effortlessly pulled up on the defective knob to remove it. I need not fret about this stainless steel rod splitting!

This is a replacement knob for your range. It is made of plastic and comes in a silver color. It measures approximately 2 inches in diameter. The knob allows you to adjust the heat level of the range and turn it on. If the knob is damaged or if the shaft is badly stripped when you turn the knob, you will need to replace it. Carefully remove it from the shaft and replace it with a new knob. This part is an OEM genuine replacement knob and it is sold individually by the manufacturer.

The knob, which is made of cast metal, had a broken plastic sleeve inside.
The installation of the spindle onto the knob was pressed. It fit seamlessly – the spindle on the knob secures the steel spring flat and can be detached using needle-nose pliers.

Depending on the type of knob you have, you can choose from six options for the plastic barrel fitting that came with the switch. The fitting had a taller sleeve nut inside to ensure a proper fit, so it was sanded and drilled to be spun on.
