Gisele Bündchen reunites with Victoria’s Secret supermodels 16 years after hanging up angel wings

Gisele Bündchen has returned and is reuniting with fellow supermodels Naomi Campbell, Adriana Lima, and Candice Swanepoel from Victoria’s Secret.

The company revealed on Wednesday that the women are collaborating for Victoria’s Secret’s latest “Icon” advertising campaign. Additionally, Emily Ratajkowski, Hailey Bieber, Adut Akech, Paloma Elsesser, and Sui He will be accompanied by the familiar models of the lingerie brand.

Bündchen retired from her angel wings in 2007 after joining the brand as a teenager.

A MODEL’S LIFE: ICONIC BRAZILIAN SUPERMODEL GISELE BUNDCHEN DOMINATED THE RUNWAY FOR YEARS.

In her autobiography published in 2018, Bündchen expressed her immense happiness at successfully securing a business deal with Victoria’s Secret at the age of 19.

As I approached my 43rd birthday, I jokingly said, “I am open to trying anything new, whether it be a fancy dress, a unique hairstyle, or even wearing a stylish swimsuit on the runway.” Over time, I found myself becoming more and more at ease while being photographed walking the runway, whether it was in a thong, bikini, or even a glamorous cape. However, it wasn’t until my fifth year of modeling that I truly felt comfortable in lingerie.

In 2006, when her contract was due for renewal, she made the choice that she did not wish to carry on working with the intimate apparel company.

She explained, “I wanted to make sure that I wasn’t continuing to work there, even though I was in a different place in my life. However, I was certainly grateful for the financial security and opportunity that the company had provided me.”

In May 2022, Bündchen also reminisced about her tenure as an Angel during an interview with British Vogue.

Bündchen confessed, “It was an enjoyable experience. There was consistently something occurring. There was always someone singing. It consistently felt like a spectacle. However, I consistently had a great time during the shows. I thought to myself, ‘That’s not going to occur.’ From my perspective, I always ensured that my back was concealed because it simply made me uneasy strutting on a runway with my buttocks exposed.”

Vivian, who is 10, and Benjamin, who is 13, say that their mother wants to see life in their dreams. They were small children when Gisele Bündchen stepped back from her career, but now they are older.

Her comeback to modeling, including for Louis Vuitton and Jimmy Choo – also occurs during her separation from Tom Brady.

“In life, you may want to find real fulfillment, not just existing as something you’re not. Vanity Fair in March told you that you want to show [your children] your own dreams.”

The company expressed, “It’s good to have you back!” Which encouraged Bündchen to post a video showcasing her lingerie modeling on her Instagram account on Wednesday. On Wednesday, Bündchen posted a video on her Instagram featuring her lingerie modeling, which led the company to comment, “We were longing for your return, Gisele!”.

Campbell also posted a picture from the campaign and a statement about the significance of being an “Icon” to her.

The 53-year-old wrote, “The symphony’s strength and the heartbeat’s style, it’s not just a title, it’s the rhythm of the runway.” They leave an indelible mark on the world’s canvas and exude confidence like a second skin. It’s about embracing every stride with purpose. They’re not just born, they’re sculpted by their journey. They are not ordinary individuals, they are Icons.
