Artem Chigvintsev and his professional partner, Charli D’Amelio, along with his youngest daughter, a popular TikTok sensation and fellow contestant of Season 31, offered some comforting words that encouraged her to continue despite her doubts before the Monday premiere, as disclosed by the social media influencer.
During the Monday night press conference, Heidi explained to me that I am not going to let myself cry. I was not on the verge of crying and the rehearsal on Wednesday was terrible. However, I was fine up until last Tuesday.
I practiced a bit more effectively the following day, but it still wasn’t excellent. Afterwards, I returned and continued rehearsing until around four o’clock in the morning. Then, I went home for three hours and faced challenges throughout the entire rehearsal.
Heidi acknowledged that there was “all this uncertainty about oneself” emerging to the forefront.
Like, this from away walk to have to I can’t. Settled in sort everything, happened what know don’t and Friday that back came I ” it to do able be to going not I’m like, this from away walk to have to I can’t.”Output: She admitted, “I can’t go away from this, I don’t want to have to walk away from this.” I don’t know what happened, and when I came back on Friday, I can’t be able to do it.”
Heidi was having a heart-to-heart with her 18-year-old daughter, who was a competitive dancer gaining fame on TikTok in the years prior to this.
“I completely understand,” I said, eager to hear the words that were coming out of her mouth and see her dance. She used to tell me everything, so she shared with me the matriarch D’Amelio’s great advice and it was really helpful.”
Heidi, who additionally has a twenty-one-year-old daughter called Dixie with her spouse Marc D’Amelio, indicated that both of her daughters were exceedingly encouraging.
“They were like, ‘You’re all in your head, stop it right now!'” She recalled. “So, they helped get me out of that.”.
Charli, who is partnered with professional dancer Mark Ballas, also discussed the situation in her own interview on Monday evening.
She informed Page Six, “In my opinion, for my mother, it’s about experimenting with something different. Additionally, being aware that you will be presenting in front of numerous individuals, I believe, would be exceedingly anxiety-inducing for anyone.”
She was never at the forefront of performance, and I think it has been a long time since my sister and I got to spend time with mom.
The social media star admitted that she felt a little bit down in the days leading up to showtime, just like her mom.
She expressed, “I am genuinely thrilled and I anticipate that the following week will bring even more success for her. I felt an immense sense of pride for her and she truly delivered an outstanding performance today.”
I’m really excited to see what she and Artem will bring to the stage next week. It was an amazing experience, the four of us, as we all chatted a little during the rehearsal.
Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Len Goodman, the judges received a total score during the premiere night. P!Nk, Mya, and Christina Aguilera performed “Lady Marmalade” to a Cha Cha, with Artem and Heidi.
Megan Thee Stallion, Charli, and Mark achieved the highest rating of the evening – 32/40 – for their Cha Cha, while dancing to “Savage (Major Lazer Remix)”.
