Sadly, the singer has been a victim of endless hurtful comments about her weight throughout her impressive career, which has changed multiple times.
Expectations to Conform
Clarkson said that early on in her career, she felt immense pressure to look thinner like other women featured in UK Glamour magazines, and she was told that she should compete with them and with the smaller models that were shown.
Kelly felt like she looked the same as these other women, and as a result, she rejected her own body for many years, feeling like a young woman in the spotlight.

“I’ve always sort of understood that,” she clarified. “I wasn’t large, but individuals would label me as large. I was the largest female in the American Idol ensemble… In 2015, she elaborated on the Ellen DeGeneres Show that she had faced challenges with negative remarks for a substantial duration.”
Critics speculated that her increased size might imply that she is not doing well. However, Clarkson surprised many people by declaring, “It’s when I’m overweight that I feel content.” The perception that her happiness was linked to her previous thinness.
On the program, Kelly became a member of the panelists on The Voice in 2017 and joyfully conveyed that she experienced no stress to appear slimmer.

“I’m no longer taking my medication,” Clarkson stated when questioned. Personally, the pounds have vanished… I’m aware that the industry appreciates it. Clarkson disclosed that she has been grappling with an autoimmune disorder and a thyroid ailment since 2006, which compelled her to shed pounds. Additionally, she made a transition to a diet centered around plant-based foods.
