On Wednesday, during a court hearing, Jones’ case was referred to a grand jury.
Jones is still incarcerated at the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center with a bond amount of $1 million, as indicated on the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office website.

Chattanooga police have announced that Javontae Moon, the 19-year-old individual who was shot at the Amazon Fulfillment Center on August 9th on Discovery Drive, has sadly succumbed to the injury he sustained.
The charges against D’ante Jones have been elevated to First Degree Murder, and the 20-year-old is still in custody.
Chattanooga Police have made an arrest for the early morning shooting at the Amazon fulfillment center that left a teenager in critical condition.
Jones D’ante, a 20-year-old, has been taken into custody by the Police. He is charged with First Degree Attempted Murder and Felony, while being in possession of a Firearm.
D’ante has been charged with shooting a 19-year-old man and approaching the victim near the Amazon property. He was taken into custody this afternoon.
As per the sworn statement, D’ante Jones worked at Amazon.
Jones informed the police that he got into an argument this morning with the victim in the parking lot. He said that after his shift, he got a rideshare home and got his gun to shoot the 19-year-old who came back.
First responders say they found the 19-year-old victim with severe injuries in his head after he was shot when they arrived around 4:30 a.M. On Wednesday.
The injured person was transported to the hospital in a critical state with wounds that could potentially be fatal.
The Amazon location is currently unavailable.
After operations resume, the company will provide on-site therapy for grieving to support employees as they return to work.

Earlier Incident: The Chattanooga police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred outside the fulfillment center of Amazon on Wednesday morning.
It occurred shortly after 4:30 a.M. At 7200 Discovery Drive, right outside the entrance of Amazon.
Police say they arrived at the scene to find an unidentified man in his late teens who had been shot in the face, near a range of parking lots.
The authorities state that the assailant fled the location and is currently at large.
The Police also say that there is no public threat and they believe that the victim was targeted. The Police also say that they do not believe the incident was gang-related.
The person, whose identity remains undisclosed, was taken to a healthcare facility where he remains in a critical condition.
Authorities state that the investigation is still in progress.
The data from CPD shows that this is the first reported incident of shooting at the Discovery Drive address in the last three years. This incident marks the 65th shooting incident in Chattanooga this year.

On Discovery Drive, Chattanooga police responded to a person shot call at approximately 4:33am Wednesday morning, reports of the shooting came in.
