Martha Stewart bares all on Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue: ‘I met the challenge’

Martha Stewart is radiating like the dazzling sun on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

The 81-year-old queen underwent some hardcore preparation to look her best and strut her stuff on the cover of the oldest magazine in the industry.

The lifestyle expert revealed her cover during Monday’s “Today” show, showcasing her preparations for the alluring swimsuit pictures.

Stewart revealed that she was approached for the photo session in November 2022 and would be capturing the pictures this previous January.

“I think it’s a challenge to meet and challenge the age I’m at, as Kotb and Savannah hosts Guthrie told Hoda,”

The individual from New Jersey chose to improve her physical fitness by engaging in regular exercise and prioritizing a nutritious diet.

“I didn’t deprive myself of food, but I refrained from consuming any bread or pasta for a few months,” Stewart stated.

Stewart explained, “I live a clean life by taking care of my skin, exercising regularly, and maintaining a healthy diet. That’s why I go to pilates every day, because it makes me feel great. I even went to pilates on the other day, and it was still great.”

She then became open and sincere about how her looks at the age of 81 serve as evidence of a well-lived life.

Stewart also doesn’t mind getting older and testified how age should not define a person’s life.

The CEO of Martha Stewart Living expressed, “Do you understand my point? The entire process of getting older is incredibly dull. I believe that we should all contemplate about leading a good life, living successfully, and avoiding the process of aging.”

"To be on the cover at my age was a challenge. And I think I met the challenge," she said on the "Today" show.

She even credited her youthful appearance to her genetics and her mother, Martha Ruszkowski Kostyra.

Stewart said, “My mom was my role model,”. She was still wearing a two-piece bathing suit, and she was still fabulous after two more years. And she looks pretty good in that two-piece bathing suit, so my genes are pretty good.

Stewart was captured in photographs for the fashion editorial wearing 10 swimsuits by Ruven Afanador in the sunny Dominican Republic.

The cookbook writer also teamed up with celebrities like actresses Megan Fox and Brooks Nader, as well as Grammy-winning transgender vocalist Kim Petras, for the various covers of the sports publication.

“And I don’t ponder age much, but I considered that this is somewhat momentous,” she informed the publication. “I’m going to be the most senior individual I believe ever on a cover of Sports Illustrated,” I reflected, ‘Oh, that’s quite impressive, When I learned that I was going to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit,'”.

“Age does not play a decisive role when it comes to friendship or achieving success. It is more crucial to consider one’s actions, thoughts, and behavior rather than their age,” the TV personality elaborated.

Furthermore, besides being a well-respected culinary expert and internationally acclaimed entrepreneur, Stewart has also solidified her position as an expert in the realm of captivating and enchanting methodologies.

“Age is not the determining factor in terms of friendship or in terms of success, but what people do, how people think, how people act, that’s what’s important and not your age,” she told Sports Illustrated.

Last December, she posted another sultry photo on Instagram, showing a close-up peek of her dolled-up face, while sporting large gold earrings and fluffed-up blond hair. She also rocked a selfie mirror.

Stewart first posted a viral and provocative snap in the summer of 2020, while she was relaxing in a pool in East Hampton, New York, where wild fans went crazy.
