Heavily drugged and subjected to sexual abuse for many years by his mother, as told to him by Farias, X Quanell, a well-known activist in the Houston community, said.
“He mentioned that the child was severely mistreated. He is a well-behaved child. We can locate the top-notch drug rehabilitation center and the finest mental health facility for him. I have never heard of a mother doing such things to a child.”
Quanell Farias claimed that he fled in 2015 but came back after two days, according to what was communicated by Farias. It was reported that Farias mentioned that his mother issued threats, warning him that he would face consequences with law enforcement if he spoke up.
Quanell clarified that Farias informed him that his mother would provide him with narcotics and expressed his fear of approaching the authorities when questioned about his reluctance to depart. As per Quanell, Farias asserts that he was prohibited from leaving his residence for the past eight years.
Quanell stated that she had persuaded him that various kinds of organizations were searching for him in order to incarcerate him. She convinced him that he was facing trouble for his initial act of fleeing, and that the authorities intended to apprehend him and place him behind bars for running away.
Quanell claimed that Farias eventually reached his limit and desired his mother to acknowledge his personal space. Allegedly, he departed and confiscated his mother’s credit card.
The authorities later located him at a church in Houston on Thursday.
Quanell stated, “His precise expression was, ‘I was fatigued from existing as a servant.'” He mentioned that he simply grew weary of her lack of regard for his limits and desired to lead his own life.
ABC13, the ABC-affiliated station based in Houston, tracked them down at a hotel in north Houston after their interview with law enforcement.
ABC13 is awaiting information from investigators to discover more about the details disclosed in that discussion.
Detectives said in a tweet that they are not in a position to discuss the specifics or comment on whether the public allegations being made are factual.
Meanwhile, residents allege they were unaware that Farias had been reported missing, stating that they used to see him frequently.
Civil court documents obtained by ABC13 uncovered that his mother resides on the identical street in northeast Houston.
Kisha Ross stated, “That young man has never been absent. He would frequently visit my garage, relax with my relative, offspring, and offspring.”
When Farias was located, the Texas Center for Missing issued the following statement on behalf of the family.
We want to thank the public and media for their support. My son, Rudy Farias IV, who has been missing for eight years, was found on Thursday, June 29. Currently, we do not have any additional information on Rudy’s case. We called 911 and the police immediately when we found him unresponsive, and thankfully, a kind Samaritan located him. We know that Rudy is receiving the care he needs to overcome his trauma, but he is unable to communicate with us and is nonverbal. We do not yet know the details of his recovery time. We are asking for privacy during this difficult time, but we will continue to share more details as Rudy continues to heal.
He was left in the care of his family, and his mother signed off on refusing to transport him by ambulance, according to the Houston Fire Department chief speaking to ABC13.
Farias’ mother shared photos with ABC13, asserting that she brought her child to the medical facility.
For years, a different neighbor mentioned that he has observed Farias residing at his mother’s residence. The mother was convinced that her son had endured physical assault, mistreatment, and abduction throughout all these years.
“I was utterly taken aback that someone from this vicinity was absent, and then we caught sight of him,” he expressed. “It’s astounding to everyone.”
In 2011, his brother passed away in a motorcycle crash, leading to depression and PTSD. His mother informed officials about this when Farias went missing, and he would frequently discuss the things his neighbors had mentioned.
Ross mentioned that when he wanted to reflect on his brother, he would venture into the solitary woods and find a spot towards the rear to contemplate. He would refrain from joining others for leisurely activities, as I am aware. Ross also revealed that he had tragically lost his brother in a motorcycle crash.
On Tuesday, ABC13 interviewed Farias’ mother outside of her residence.
She did not want to go on camera, but she claimed that the man with whom her nephew spent time with was seen living with her and her neighbors.
Farias was constantly trying to wrap their heads around why they’re missing, either of them would say. She refuted the claim that the person in the photo is not him, but she shared a picture of him, saying neighbors.
Ross expressed, “I am unaware. That’s what I have been attempting to decipher throughout the entire day. I am currently puzzled. I am thinking, ‘What is happening?'”
According to Farias, when the police went to their relative’s home, they found them and a family member called them.
