Five people, including a 9-year-old boy, were killed at their home on Friday night by a neighbor who was armed with an AR-15 rifle, according to the police.
A search for the suspect, identified by authorities as 38-year-old Francisco Oropeza, was in progress on Sunday.
The casualties consisted of three females, an adolescent, and a child who was 9 years old
ABC News was informed that two surviving children were found in the bedroom alongside two female victims.
Wilson Garcia, the proprietor of the residence, informed ABC Houston station KTRK that his spouse and offspring were among the casualties.

Diana Velazquez Alvar
Velasquez Alvarado and her longtime partner Jefrinson Josué Rivera, in an interview with ABC News, were in a committed relationship for a duration of six years. Rivera fondly refers to Alvarado as a “warrior.”
Rivera stated, “She dedicated herself entirely to her children. She never had conflicts with anyone. She was joyful, modest, and compassionate. She displayed great attentiveness towards her children, her companions, and myself,” Rivera expressed.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott previously referred to the victims as undocumented; however, Rivera stated that his partner was a legal permanent resident.
